Disclaimer: I don't own it
Every year for Marsha's birthday (for the past five years anyway) she and her husband went to their favorite restaurant. It was a romantic Italian café called LA-CHAYS. They always ordered the same thing. They always listened to the same song. They always got the same cake.
This year after the wish was made Dwight asked her what she had wished for. Her eyes got sad and filled up.
"It's the same thing I wish for every year," she said quietly, "I know that it will never happen but that doesn't mean I don't wish for it. I wish for it every day. I wish for it every DAMN minute of my life for the past five years"
He reached out and squeezed her hand.
"Me too honey," he said, "I do too"
They didn't know it yet but their life was about to take a turn for the better. Dwight's cell phone rang.
"I should probably get that," he said, "It might be important."
Marsha nodded as he picked it up.
"YELLO," he said in his typical friendly way of answering the phone. He listened for a few seconds.
"Yes I remember you," he said smiling, "How are you doing?"
"Well," he said after a short pause, "I'm assuming you didn't call to talk about the weather or any basic conversation because you sound pretty serious"
Marsha had to hold back from asking who he was talking to. She was dying of curiosity.
"She might be what," Dwight exclaimed
Who might be what, Marsha thought to herself, and what is what?
"Wait… how is that even possible," Dwight asked, "This isn't some sort of prank is it?"
What is going on, Marsha wondered.
"Is there anything we don't know," Dwight asked
There's a lot I don't know, Marsha thought to herself.
"We'll be there as soon as we can," Dwight said, "We'll leave tonight… as soon as we pack. Um… sure"
Dwight hung up. Marsha looked at him expectantly.
"That was Adrian's friend from the SFPD, Randy. Honey brace yourself."
"Dwight, what's going on," Marsha asked a little nervous.
"It would appear," Dwight said, "that there is some… evidence that may suggest that…"
His voice trailed off.
"Suggests what Dwight," Marsha asked.
"Some evidence suggests that… Trudy may have survived," Dwight said.
Marsha stared at her husband like he was talking Chinese
