A/N: Hello there! So this is my first Alex Rider story and I am very excited. I have always wanted to read a complete Alex Rider story like this one, but all of them were not complete from what I could find. So this is just the intro so I hope you like it. Thank you!

Jack was worried about Alex. She had just received a call from a Mr. Blunt at MI6. She knew that Alex had a mission and that he would train and then leave. He would be returning soon to pack some of his things with Mr. Blunt and Mrs. Jones. That was the less confusing part. The part that confused her was the fact that Blunt had received some books from a mysterious person about Alex. Nine of them to be in fact. The person had left a not reading:

Blunt-

We know what will happen. The only way to make it fair is to make the playing ground equal. Enjoy.

At the end of a note there was a stamp of a scorpion. Blunt hadn't explained that to Jack.

Now Jack was waiting for Alex to come home with Blunt, Jones, and 4 men that Alex would be in training with called Wolf, Fox, Eagle, and Snake.

Jack pondered over everything that Blunt had said for another few minutes before she heard the noise of the front door opening. She rushed over and saw Alex in his school clothes with a very grey looking man standing behind him. Alex gave a slight smile in Jack's direction in which she morosely returned.

Alex stepped aside from the doorway to allow Blunt in followed by a dark skinned woman sure to be Mrs. Jones and then four burly looking men.

Blunt cleared his throat as Alex closed the door. "Well then. Thank you Miss Starbright for allowing us entry to your, er, pleasant home. I am very thankful for you. Now you all know why we're here so we might as well get started. If you could lead us to an adequate sitting place Miss Starbright. Perhaps some tea."

"It's Jack and of course." Jack led them through the house the living room. There was a sofa and two armchairs scattered around a coffee table and a television. The four burly men automatically moved towards the sofa as Mr. Blunt and Mrs. Jones walked to the two armchairs. Alex pulled two chairs from the dining table for him and Jack to sit in.

Jack went to the kitchen and busied herself by making tea.

The rest of the group sat in an awkward silence for about five minutes before Jack came back holding a tray with eight tea cups, some sugar, and an old tea kettle. Mr. Blunt and Mrs. Jones helped themselves immediately and after a pause, so did Wolf, Snake, Fox, and Eagle.

Mr. Blunt took a sip of his tea. "So then, why don't you all introduce yourselves to Alex as you will soon be training together immediately after we finish these books."

"Wolf," grunted the largest of the four men.

"Fox," said another one with a small smile at Alex.

"Snake," said the third with an almost stoic expression.

"Eagle," said the last with a tone similar to Wolf's.

"Alright then. Lets begin reading the books about Alex's life then shall we?"
