Mira hummed a happy tune as she inspected a freshly washed beer mug. It glistened beautifully in the light. Perfect. She looked up to watch whatever shenanigans the guild was up to that particular day. The guild was its usual noisy self, but it held a certain warmth that Mira could never get enough of.

She glanced around the room to try and spot the familiar happenings around the guild. Closest to the bar was Cana, Wakaba, Macao, and Gildartz. All of them were drinking, of course, but Cana outshone them all by hefting a keg twice her size to her lips. Even though it didn't make any sense, the drunken blabber they called conversation was soothing, and it never failed to cheer Mira up, even on her darkest of days.

The sight of them reminded her of her own family, who were also seated near the bar. Both siblings were deeply engrossed in a conversation about 'the way of the man'. It was obvious to Mira that Lisanna was only humoring her brother, and upon closer inspection she found her sister exchanging curious glances with Bixlow.

Curious indeed, she'll have to have a talk with him later.

Bixlow's teammates, the Raijunshuu, were still enthralled with having Laxus among them, it showed with the ruckus they were making. Their shenanigans were almost so bold that she almost didn't notice Evergreen slyly give her brother a quick glance and blush before hastily turning back to Laxus.

Mira would just have to make time to have a tête-à-tête with her too.

She softly smiled at Freed when she caught him glancing at her. He promptly turned red and gave her a shy smile and a nod before he continued to fawn over his blonde leader.

Mira was fond of Freed and often wished that some of the guild members were as poised as he was. He was probably the only man in the guild that would treat a woman with the charm every girl had -secretly or not- dreamed of. She made a note to ask him what shampoo he used, because really, his hair looked like she could stroke it for hours-

"We're back!"

As most of Team Natsu sat at a crowded table; Lucy silently trudged over to Mira to give a full report on their latest mission. She patiently listened as Lucy prattled on about how irresponsible Natsu was. "… I mean really, do I look like a sack of potatoes to you?"

No sooner than she said that, the man in question violently threw a table at Gray, and it somehow started a massive brawl between the guild members.

"Everyone, stop fighting!" Erza tried to shout, but was drowned out by the erupting chaos.

Mira smiled pleasantly when Lucy shrieked and ducked under the bar to avoid a flying chair.

"Oi, who did that?!" Natsu shouted as he furiously attacked random suspects, or really anyone he could get his hands on.

Mira nodded when Lucy wearily asked if she could hide behind the bar.

Minutes later when she and Lucy were deeply absorbed in a conversation about the weather, Natsu's grinning face appeared above them.

"There you are Lucy! Come and join the fight!" The boy gripped her arm.

Lucy yanked her arm away from his grip as she spoke firmly. "No."

"Why not?" He whined.

"Because I don't want to die!" She whined right back.

The Fire mage looked at her seriously for such a long time Lucy fidgeted.

"What," she asked with a slight pout.

"I'll obviously protect you," he said so sincerely that even Mira blushed.

Mira did nothing but giggle as Natsu dragged away Lucy, who at this point was too flustered to protest anymore.

Mira sighed contently from her perch at the front of the guild; smiling tenderly at the sight of her sleeping guildmates. By now they were exhausted from the brawl and were all sprawled out in various places. She chuckled at the strange positions her fellow guild members have acquired during the havoc.

She first noticed Team Natsu, most likely having fought most of their battle around the area while Natsu tried to drag Lucy into the fight, giving anybody who tried to hit her a swift punch to the gut. Since nobody would actually hit Lucy of all people, he was really just punching anybody within a four feet radius.

A sudden rattle drew her to her out of her musing. Curious to see how a person could make such a noise in their sleep, she peered over the bar. There laid Erza, hugging a bar stool while mumbling something about strawberry cake and Jellal. If she wasn't concerned, Mira would have thought that the correlation between cake and Jellal was somehow kinky.

For the first time that day, Mira frowned uncertainly, she wasn't quite sure what kind of a person Jellal was since she met him just briefly, but she knew that over the years he has given Erza a lot of grief. During their short meeting, she supposed he was decent enough after redeeming himself, so for now she reluctantly let things run its course. However, if he had in anyway harmed Erza again, she was right behind Natsu, Gray and Lucy in the kick-Jellal's-ass line.

Next to Erza was Lucy, curled into a tight ball clutching Happy for her dear life. The Take-Over mage frowned as she traced the claw marks made by the aforementioned cat. Lucy thought it was a good idea to try to use Happy as an anchor when Natsu tried to drag her away and all she had to show for her efforts was scratches on Mira's bar.

Mira tried not to think about it and focused back to watching her guildmates. She looked to Natsu, who had one arm wrapped protectively around the stellar mage while the other was swatting Gray in the face. Somehow. The Ice-Make mage was hitting his teammate as well. Somehow. Mira was too busy marveling at how Gray could head butt a person in his sleep, she almost didn't notice Juvia desperately clutching his leg. And by how purple it was getting Mira assumed that the Water mage has cut off Gray's blood circulation.

Between Erza and Lucy were Wendy and Charle, and she giggled at how cute the two were. Even while sleeping and in Wendy's warm embrace, the small white cat still managed to pull of that disappointed scowl that Master wears whenever somebody breaks a brand new lacimira or something.

"Natsu!" Mira nearly jumped at the sudden sound. "Don't touch my cake!" Erza continued to mumble in her sleep.

Mira glanced down at the magic-enhanced, barricaded cabinet that Erza insisted on having exclusively for cake. She made sure to supply it with extra cake for Wendy as well. Erza didn't mind if Wendy ate from her cake stash, even though, surprisingly, Wendy ate just as much as her fellow dragonslayers; Mira supposed it was because Erza viewed Wendy as a little sister who she could dote on.

Still pondering upon the mystery behind Natsu's Team, she turned to look at her other guild mates. Team Shadow Gear was asleep leaning on an overturned table. She barely noticed Gajeel lurking nearby, with how cute they all looked. On either side of the blue headed fairy were her two best friends Jet and Droy, and atop the females head was Pantherlily.

She took note on how while her team was covered in several scrapes and bruises, she was not. But by the looks of how torn up Gajeel was sleep-lurking in the corner, it looked like he had done all the work in protecting Levy. Though again, nobody would really want to hit Levy so-.

She furrowed her brow; it had been happening a lot, Gajeel hovering around Levy. She often wondered- could it be-?!

Mira grinned as she let her mind wander: Gajeel, upon a disgruntled stead, and Levy, a damsel in distress stranded in a castle.

"PrincessScholar-sama-chan! I have come to rescue you!" Gajeel's eyes, which were way bigger than usual, sparkled,.

"Oh, KnightKing-dono-kun! I always knew you would come!" Levy swooned, and the vision was swarmed with those magical bubbles that always appear when something extra fluffy is happening.

Her dream was suddenly interrupted be the cold reality.

"Oi! What's up with this weird fantasy!?" The KnightKing-dono-kun's horse neighed furiously for good measure.

"Um, I'm not really stuck, there's a door right there you know …" PrincessScholar-sama-chan deadpanned.

She shook the thought off and continued to look over the guild, trying to spot anything else worth questioning.

Her eyes fell upon Bisca, Alzack and their cute daughter, Asuka. Instead of swooning at how cute they were, she clicked her tongue and frowned darkly. She turns her back for just seven years and they'd already married and fornicated; she seethed and turned away from the couple. She supposed she'll have to wait until Asuka was old enough. Until then she'll just have to bide her time.

Mira let her eyes roam ones more around the guild, and almost cracked the bar table in two when she saw her siblings sleeping among Raijunshuu. How dare they go gallivanting around without telling her, their darling older sister, anything? Who knows what kind of progression she missed by now! She'll have to have an extra long talk with the lot of them. Except maybe Laxus and Freed, who at the moment looked awfully cozy there, all snuggled up, she would have to look into that further.

But the rest of the Raijunshuu were in for a world of hurt- ah no, it's just a talk, a talk. Except for maybe Freed she would just have him for a cup of tea –Laxus would probably not appreciate her tea so Mira decided he wasn't invited—and they can talk about the lovely weather. And she ask him about what shampoo he uses, and if he uses conditioner—no, that's a silly question; look at that shine, he probably does-

"GYAHA! Natsu, get off of me!"

"Oh, good morning Lucy."

"Like hell it's morning!" The stellar mage shrieked in indignation.

"You mean we're not in your fluffy bed?"Natsu seemed to be a bit confused.

And with that, Mira was yet again sent to her fantasy world, but before she could further speculate upon this new found (though not really, since Happy had actually blabbed to her a long time ago) truth, a squeaky voice snapped her out of her reverie.

"Lucy, let me go, I can't breathe." Mira sympathized with Happy in silence.

"Natsu you idiot-" Lucy squeaked, shakily turning to the direction where a certain red-headed mage slept, only to find her missing from her previous spot.

"Lucy, what have you been doing? Has Natsu tainted you?" Her voice was as cold as the steel armor she now adorned.

"It's nothing like that!" Lucy denied vehemently, while Natsu could only whimper.

She turned her attention across the guild when she heard Levy's soft voice under the mumbles of waking guild members.

"Oh Pantherlily, I didn't notice you there!" Levy said blearily as she looked up to find the exceed lounging atop her head.

"It's fine, I'll have you know, your head is quite comfortable, Levy." The black cat reassured with a cheesy thumbs up.

"I-is that so…?" The solid script mage smiled uncertainly.

"THIS PERSON NEXT TO ME IS NOT A MAN!" Elfman shouted in disbelief as he stared at Evergreen, scandalized.

"YOU BETTER RECOGNIZE IT!" She retaliated, (easily) set off by the man's insensitive, un-beautiful, behavior.

"Huh, what's happening-?" Gray, the next destined to join in on the impending madness, blinked rapidly to get the sleep out his eyes. It was around the 24th blink that he noticed something amiss.

"My leg! I can't feel my leg!" He proceeded to list off colorful phrases with a (girly) shriek. (Elfman noticed how it was girly and bellowed that Gray was being particularly unmanly with his manner speech.)

"Juvia is sorry, Gray-sama!" Juvia immediately tried to apologize for the sin she had afflicted on her beloved Gray-sama.

"Please punish me, Gray-sama!" Juvia shrieked in shame.

"I told you I'm not into that kind of stuff already!" Gray blushed as Juvia urged him to punish her.

-Somewhere in the spirit realm, Virgo turned green with envy.-

"Natsu, get the hell off me!" Lucy yelled heatedly, glaring at her slumbering teammate who had decided to use her as a pillow

"But you're so comfy Lucy! And I'm still tired!" The Fire mage whined as he snuggled farther into her shoulder.

"Lucy, let go of me!" Mira once again silently sympathized with her blue furred friend, unable to do anything as his normally blue cheeks turned to a worrisome red.

"Natsu…" Mira immediately recognized the sound of the Erza's "I'm-going-to-fucking-kill-you" voice and silently arranged who will be taking care of Natsu at the hospital this week.

"Really, what's with this new generation?" Macao sighed in a typical middle-aged fashion to Wakaba, who nodded in agreement. Mira ignored them, thoroughly uninterested in the mechanics of that relationship. She's been trying to figure it out for many, many years.

"Gajeel… what are you doing?" Levy questioned the Dragon Slayer cautiously turning to look him in the eye.

"I believe he's-" Pantherlily began to with a sly smirk before he was interrupted rudely when Gajeel threw a fork at him. Mira decided she wouldn't mention to anyone that he pulled the fork out of his hair, even if it would get Master to stop pestering her about how much money she wastes on constantly buying new silverware.

"PURPLE! IT'S PURPLE!" Gray mourned over the loss of his leg.

"Juvia didn't mean it, Gray-sama!" The water mage cried in desperation as she watched her love be reduced to a panicking twit.

" Charle, don't you feel like strawberry cake?" Wendy asked her companion.

"I would prefer chocolate." Charle replied after short contemplation.

"Are you planning on making something, Wendy-nee?" Romeo joined the conversation smoothly, having just come back from a mission that involved a cat, a tree, and lots and lots of bees. He looked like he didn't want to talk about it.

"R-romeo-kun?" Mira's attention was instantly caught when Wendy's face turned suspiciously red.

"No, I was actually going to buy some from the bakery..."

"Oh? That's a shame." He grinned at her." I would have loved to try your cooking."

"O-oh…" she began to mumble, "ma- maybe…some..day…"

"Hm?"

"Nothing!" Wendy glowed as a beacon as she and Romeo continued to chat.

Mira was contented to watch her guildmates put themselves in and out of strange situations and continued to day dream of the bright future this guild holds. She was snapped out of her reverie from Cana's still muddled with sleep voice.

"Mira, beer here!"

Mira sighed and grinned merrily, she then hauled a barrel of beer to where Cana was seated.

When she returned to the bar, she was surprised to find that Freed and Laxus perched at the bar. They watched as she made her way about her precious, precious bar.

"What are you guys doing here?" Mira asked.

Laxus snorted and jerked his thumb to where Lisanna and Bixlow were cackling-well Bixlow was doing most of the cackling- at Elfman and Evergreen.

"We kind of felt like third wheel over there," he rolled his eyes as Mira visibly bristled.

"You look happy," Freed changed the subject nervously, "more than usual I mean."

Mira laughed lightly she spoke with such a casual tone that it was hard to take her seriously. "I'm just happy that this is my guild."

Laxus smirked knowingly and Freed looked bewildered for a moment, before his face slowly shifted into a smile. "I see."

Mira smiled back at him.

This was edited again. I will never be done with this. On my deathbed, I will be lamenting on how shitty this is, and how I, for the life of me, can never get it right. At nine pages, this will expand with the universe from here on in, obviously.

If you spot any annoying mistakes, or find something completely off about anyone's character please tell me!
