Ruby was so excited. Today was her 16th birthday. She quickly hopped out of bed and found that there was no one in the room.
"they must have gone to breakfast early i guess."
Ruby brushed it off, and quickly got dressed in some casual clothes, as it was the weekend and the red heads birthday.
But, to her surprise there was a note on the door.
"Dear Ruby, Weiss and Yang had to do something important in town so they have left early. If you want to find me, follow the clues on the back of this note. ill be waiting.
i love you, Blake"
Ruby couldn't stop herself from smiling widely. she was lucky to have Blake as her girlfriend. They had so much in common, it was unbelievable. She quickly flipped the note to see more writing.
"Clue No.1: This should be easy, what is my favourite thing to do?"
Ruby thought for a moment. Blake liked to do a lot of things but, what she loved most was books.
"to the library!"
A few minutes later, thanks to her semblance, she was at the library in record time. She started looking around the section that Blake always sits in, The romance section was pretty be big in ruby's opinion. She went to the small secluded corner that Blake always reads in, and to her surprise, she found another note.
"Clue No.2: An unfortunate accident, yet the start of a friendship."
Ruby had to re read the clue a few times before her mind wondered to the entrance of beacon where she sneezed herself into a dust explosion.
She quickly made her way there. She went over to the exact place where the mini explosion took place. There was still a small patch of black coating the once white cement.
She also found a note there.
"Clue No.3: You became a true leader in a beautiful forest that is now scarred with black."
This one was way too easy.
She headed over to the burnt part of the once "whole" forest where the initiation took place. This note was much more challenging to find due to the density and the range of the burnt tree's and leave's surrounding the whole area, but nonetheless, she found the note.
"You found all of the clues. meet me back at the dorm and you'll get your prize."
Ruby was ecstatic right now. She actually completely forgot that it was her birthday today.
Ruby ran as fast as she could to the dorms and nearly kicked the door open, but she wasn't her sister. She opened the door like a normal person.
When she walked in, She saw the whole dorm room covered in decorations and a small banner on the window. There was a cake in the middle of the room that was decorated in the team colours. Blake emerged from the shadows behind ruby and she wrapped her in a loving hug.
"happy birthday Ruby..."
