AN: Hello there once again everyone! So, what is this? The third time I update and change this goddamned story? Well, hopefully, this will be the final project. I really do want to say sorry, from the bottom of my heart to all of you that read the other ones and enjoyed them, I wasn't able to update them due to personal reasons, for the most part at least, and for months I didn't say a thing to just then randomly delete it and post something else. This will NOT happen again. I admit that I have fucked up, I disappointed many of you that read the original 2 stories, and I have disappointed myself for not being able to be more straightforward. I do love the idea of Rhythm of a Hero, but when I want to keep it going, something happens in my life that just completely demoralizes me to keep writing. And when I do get better, I just can't bring myself to continue something that's been in the dark for so long. That's what happened with the first Rhythm of a Hero. I came back to it and I just couldn't update it, so I made the revamped version. And now it's kinda happening again. But as I said before, last time this ever happens, I'm sticking to it no matter what. I feel like I have bettered myself and will not give up so easily.
Also, sorry about the long rant-ish thing there. I just had to get that out there. So, this is pretty much the same prologue from the revamped version of rhythm of a hero. I just added more to it and made it better.
PS: I HAVE ANOTHER STORY UP CALLED GENUINE IMITATION, IT IS A OC STORY THAT I AM CURRENTLY WRITING, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE GO CHECK IT OUT, IT HASN'T BEEN GETTING MUCH ATTENTION SO IM GOING TO SHAMELESSLY PLUG IT HERE. THANK YOU!

Dagoba Municipal park was a beautiful beach on the outskirts of Musutafu city, gritty yet warm sand, wind blowing lightly with a humid breeze, waves gently crashing on the shore, it was a place that once you arrived, it left you with a sense of calm and peace, almost like the melody of a soft orchestral song…
At least that is what Izuku Midoriya felt upon walking down the flight of stairs that led to said place, even when bruised and battered. He had just gotten attacked by his so-called "best friend", Katsuki 'Kacchan' Bakugo, for trying to defend another kid, but since he was quirkless, there was nothing he could do but just take it and hope that the other kid ran away. His plan was successful, at least to his knowledge, he passed out shortly afterward Bakugo had hit him with an explosion and woke up sometime later with the boy over him seemingly unharmed. That was the day that he learned the sad truth, that no one is born equal in this world full of superpowers and heroes. This realization made him think that his dream as a hero would be over, something that he has always wanted to be.
Now, what's the reason Izuku was at this beach? It was usually where Izuku would go after he got beat up to go clean himself up, if washed away quickly, the dirt and blood stains in his clothes were kept to a minimum so his mother wouldn't notice. This was now routine for him ever since everyone found out he was quirkless. What made the situation worse is that he was only 5, who knew children could be so violent at such a young age.
Izuku sighed, scrubbing the last bit of dirt of his clothes in the sea water. He heard footsteps behind him so he quickly turned around and got into the same fighting position he used against Bakugo, scared that it might be more trouble, but to his surprise, it was a girl, around his age with purple hair and what seemed to be earphone jacks coming out of her earlobes. She looked at him quizzically, wondering why he was in that stance.
"Are you okay?" The little girl asked, her head tilting sideways. Her voice sounded like one of actual concern, something Izuku hadn't heard in a while from someone else besides his mom.
"Umm, y-yea…" Izuku answered sadly. "Just…cleaning myself up."
"How did you even get dirty here, clumsy or something?" the little girl asked, a small grin appearing on her face.
"I-I didn't get dirty here, I just…I d-don't want to talk about it, ok?" Izuku responded, his sadness showing even more now.
"Oh, come on, no need to be such a wussy, I'm just trying to cheer ya up!" The little girl said once again, her grin growing slightly.
"Y-You are?" Izuku stuttered, questioning If the girl was telling the truth.
"Yea! I saw that you looked sad, so I came to help!" The girl said happily. "Its what a hero would do!"
"You want to be a hero too?" Izuku asked, the excitement in his voice unmistakable.
"Mhm!" The girl nodded. "I want to be the hero that can save people with music!" She said as she fist-bumped the air, her jacks moving along with her arm. "What's your name by the way? I'm Kyoka Jiro!"
"I-I'm Izuku Midoriya!" He said as he held out his hand, still wet from the cleaning he was doing before.
"Nice to meet ya, Izuku!" The girl now known as Kyoka Jiro said as she grabbed his hand, not caring that it was wet.
"So, why are you here?" Izuku asked. "I haven't seen you around here, this part of the beach is usually empty."
"Well, I live over there" She pointed at an apartment complex close by. "I see you from my window whenever you come by, so I decided to say hi!" She answered simply. "Now, you haven't really answered my question though, Are you okay?"
Izuku sighed, his hands clenching. "I was beaten up by my best friend for trying to help another boy." He said sadly with slight anger in his voice.
"What?!" Jiro exclaimed. "Why would he do that?!"
"Well… I'm q-quirkless, so I couldn't do anything." Izuku said, preparing to be laughed at.
"What, that makes no sense." Jiro said with some frustration. "Only because your quirkless doesn't mean he can just do that to you, this "friend" of yours sounds like a big meany."
Izuku looked up in surprise, no laughing or shaming, rather this girl didn't seem to care about his disability. He was happy, to say the least.
"And you were protecting someone else, meaning that he is basically a bad guy!" she added. She looked at Izuku again, seeing that he was in tears, but was smiling. "Hey, what happened?"
"Do you think I can become a hero?" Izuku asked randomly, tears flowing out of his eyes.
"Well, of course, you can dummy, anyone who helps those in need can be a hero!" Jiro said with excitement, the grin she had returning full force.
"Thank you." Izuku said, trying to wipe the tears off his face. He needed to hear that, no one, not even his mother had told him he could still be a hero. "I needed to hear that."
Jiro widened her grin, happy that she was able to help someone in need, even if she didn't fully understand how.
