The Mother
Chapter One
He lay their on that brisk, fall morning in Beach City. An 12 year old boy named Steven Universe lay their in bed wondering about his mother, Rose and Lion about their relationship. They has odd parallels and wondered if half of his mother lived in him and half of her in Lion. It was a crazy thought he wondered to himself as his stomach started to grumble. He was starving so he started to go to the Big Donut down the beach. As he was walking he asked himself more questions. He thought "Why would she give up her form for me when she is obviously stronger?" and "Why is her stuff in Lion's mane?" and finally "Why is Lion pink?" He finally brings himself together to ask the gems later. As he walks in the Big Donut he realizes that he has no money. He runs back to his house gets $5 and walks back. "Hey, Steven" says Sadie as he walks in.
"Hey, Sadie" he said in a jumpy little attitude as he always does. He realizes that Lars is nowhere to be found. "Were is Lars?" he asked to the blonde girl at the counter.
"He's in the back room taking his break" she said. "What type of Donut would you like?"
"Gimme the usual." said Steven. She puts the donuts on the counter with Steven's favorite donuts inside.
"That will be $3.39." she said. Steven gave her the $5 bill, "$1.61 is your change" she said as Lars walked out of the back room.
"Hey Lars" Steven said as Lars walked sleepily out of the back room. Lars mumbled something as he walked into the back room. "Bye…" Steven said in a questioning attitude. Steven suddenly remembered about the video that he showed to her two days ago.
Two Days Ago
"Your going to be a human being" Rose said through the TV. "Take care of them Steven" Steven smiled as Lars walked into the room.
"What in the world did you guys watch?" Lars said as Steven came as he patted him near his heart. He then walked outside and hugged Lion as Sadie asked her mom to start making her lunches again.
Present
"Yes, I remember that" Sadie replied remembering that beautiful voice. "Was that your mom?" she asked even though she already knew that the answer was yes.
"Yep." Steven said looking at the beach were she recorded that video. "Well, I have go home, bye" he said as he bounced out of the store. As Steven looked at the beautiful scenery he saw the crashing waves on the white sand as Beach City was starting to wake up. He admired everything as he started to love it. He knew that his mother was loving being him as the video said. as he walked up the steps and opened the door he saw Lion on his couch. He went over to him and and started to eat his donuts. He loved the taste of chocolate in his mouth, melting and savoring every bite on his last bite he started to feel sleepy and walked back to his bed dozing off. He had a dream with him and his mother meeting. About to ask her his first question he awoke with a start when he saw the warp pad glow with Amethyst, Pearl, and Garnet started to warp back from there last mission.
