The last case was rough on all of them especially Rossi. So Rossi had a lot of paperwork to catch up on. It was own fault he let the paperwork pileup. Hotch had come by earlier and teased him about it. Dave have rolled his eyes and mock annoyance to have to smile seeing his friends so happy. He knew that his last case was hard on Hotch to, on top of that they both had done many consults over the week. Later that evening when he took coffee break, Dave ran into Hotch getting ready to leave for the evening.

"Hey, Dave you heading home soon?" Asked Hotch

"No, I wanted to finish my paperwork before I left for the weekend" said Dave

Hotch looked at his hired friend and stack of paperwork and said with concern

"It's been a long hard week Dave. You should go home and get some rest, maybe try to get this case and your hand. The paperwork made a while."

Dave smiled at his friends concerned and said

"Aaron I'm fine. I promise I won't too late."

"I know. I'm just worried because I know it's been a hard week. If you want talk, or have a drink give me a call." Said Hotch with a concern smile.

"It will Aaron. Your good friend" said David with a genuine smile

Soon after that Hotch left and Dave went back to work. Sometime later at the blandly reach the next file his finger for something. When he looked he found an old keychain. Dave recognized it immediately. It was Hotch's Cubs keychain. Dave smiled at the remembered how Hotch got it.

10 years ago Koch and he had been working together for about a year. They become fast friends as he got to know the younger man pretty well. Had been a slow day, mostly spent catching up on paperwork. Dave was telling him about how his father used to take him the Cubs games every summer growing up. He ask Hotch if his father ever took him to any baseball games. The younger man shrugged and said

"No, my father was very busy and I don't think that eating dried anyway."

Dave nodded head and let it drop, he knew hard was lying to him. Dave new that Hotch was embarrassed because because these never been to a game before. That's when Dave decided to take his friend to his first game, and maybe remind the younger man to have some fun. It hadn't been easy. Aaron had been reluctant to even go, but by the end of a game he was enjoying himself. He smiled at Dave and said

"Thank you. Haven't had that much fun since I was a kid."

"No problem Aaron. That's what friends are for" said Dave with a smile

"Then I'm really thankful to have you has my friend" said Aaron with a genuine smile

Few months later on Aaron's birthday. Dave gave him the keychain, take it to the next game and a note that said

So that you remember to have fun, not to work so hard, and of course that's I'm girlfriend.

Dave smiled and chuckled to himself as he remembered the past fondly. He turned off his computer and get a gathered his things. Aaron was right he needed to get out of here and get out of his head. Dave took out his cell phone and called.

"Hey Aaron, that offer for a drink still open" asked Dave

"Of course. I'll see you in a few?" Asked Aaron

"By the way. I found your keychain" said Dave with a smile

"Oh you did? I didn't even know it was missing" said Aaron innocently

"Yeah right" said Dave with a laugh "see you soon" said Dave, he could hear Aaron laughing as he hung up.
