Well I never once, backed down from a punch.
Well, I'd take it on the chin.
But I found out that bully's just laugh,
The first time Marty Deeks, then known by a different name, was punched by a bully. He wanted to cry...
He was already beginning to learn the lesson of not crying from, Gordon John Brandel. He fought harder not to cry when the bully's laughed at him.
When you've got to stand up to them
So I didn't cry when I got a black eye,
As bad as it hurt I just grinned.
So instead of starting to cry he made a smart ass comment about the bully...
"You know you punch like a girl right?" He asked and then took off running, before the bully could hit him again.
That was when he started to use humor instead of tears, when he was hurt.
