The weather was perfect for February. The streets were covered in a light snowy dust and the sun was out just enough for a small winter coat. The weather was perfect for her condition. Cold weather calls for sweaters and sweaters shield the baby bump Bella's been growing for the last five months. The bump is barely noticeable but Bella and everyone around her seemed to be well aware of her current condition. It was not in her plans to be pregnant her first year of college.

Shit just happened.

"Are you excited for later?" Bella's roommate, Alice asked. During their first semester together the roomies have become close friends and Alice was the first person Bella shared the news with. Besides, the male figure who also played a part in the equation. However, if it wasn't for Alice she would have listened to said man. She would have killed her baby.

"Not really, I don't even know if I'm keeping it yet." It was undecided if Bella was going to put the baby up for adoption. Just the thought filled her stomach with guilt. Bella just kept walking; she didn't need to look at Alice to see the shake of her head. They both knew once she held the baby for the first time there was no way she was giving it up. Unfortunately, she was not ready to accept being a single mother. How was she supposed to raise a baby by herself and remain enrolled in school? She refused to give up her education and she didn't know what the hell to do with a baby. She was determined to be somebody with or without a baby. Most likely with the baby.

"I think it's a boy."

"Thanks, Alice. Way to ruin the surprise." Bella replies sarcastically. Usually when Alice predicts something it happens. If only she had vision Bella sleeping with him and forgetting protection, she could have warned her. This situation could have been avoided. The duo continued the rest of the way to class in silence.

Bella preferred arriving to class early to avoid people staring. That's all they fucking do. As if they never saw a pregnant person. The question everyone wants to ask is, who got Bella pregnant? Guys don't talk to her. Guys don't look at her. She didn't even know how word got around; it wasn't like she publicly announced it.

As the room fills up, Professor Molina starts the lecture. Class happens to be Bella's favorite place to be, gives her a break from reality. "I don't get this," Alice complains.

"You can look over my notes later." This is routine. "You know paying attention helps right?" Bella glanced at the phone in her hand.

"You know condoms help, right?" a girl named Jessica seated behind them remarks. Bella refuses to reply, she's used to Jessica's constant bullying. Alice on the other hand.

"Listen, you little bit-"

"Alice, it's not even worth it," Bella reminds her. Jessica has been like this since middle school and has yet to mature. How she was even accepted into university is still questionable.

"Sometimes bitches need to be slapped."

"Whatever," Jessica responds while flipping her hair.

Once lecture is over the girls head over to the Women's Health Group near campus. The baby's gender is supposed to be revealed. The baby will no longer be an "it" but a boy or girl. A person. As they sit in the waiting room Bella peeks at the other women, two are pregnant and look further along than her and one reminds her of herself when she first came to confirm her pregnancy. She remembers that looks, she still wears that face daily. That what the fuck look.

"Isabella Swan?" the nurse calls. Finally. It's already 3:30. They go back into a room and the nurse takes her vitals. "We have to draw some blood again." Bella hates blood, just the thought makes her nauseated but she nods and pulls up her sleeve. She looks the other way while the nurse performs her duty. "Dr. Lin will be in soon," the nurse says as she cleans up her mess and leaves.

"Bella you need to learn patience, and soon." Maybe Alice needs to learn how to be quiet Bella thinks.

"I was supposed to be seen a half an hour ago and I'm anxious if you can't tell."

"I can definitely tell. Do you have to pee or something? Stop shaking your leg," Alice jokes but if looks could kill, Alice would be six feet under. Bella had to have a full bladder for her ultrasound and the baby preferred sitting on her currently full bladder.

Finally, Dr. Lin knocks and walks in. "Hi Bella, how's the little one doing?"

"Fine as far I can tell."

"Well let's check?" Bella lays back and pulls up her shirt. While lying down she noticed the growth of her stomach. There's a little bump forming. There's actually a human in there. She glances at Alice and wishes it's him. She's thankful to have Alice here but it would be nice to share this moment with him. "The heartbeat sounds good, about 162. Baby's developing perfectly. Did you want to know the sex?"

Bella nods and waits for the moment. "The little fella likes to show his goods," the doctor laughs as she points out the genitals.

"Ha, I knew it! She said he!" Alice jumps up and down happily. But Bella remains quiet and lets reality hit. She feels the tears on her cheeks. She's excited and scared all in one. This is real; she's having a baby. A boy. She's having a son and she's keeping him.

"Congratulations, Bella." Dr. Lin says as she wipes off her stomach.

"So, are you gonna tell him now that you know?" Alice questions as they leave the doctor's office.

"He made it clear he didn't want the baby, I'm not even supposed to be having the baby."

"Yeah, but that was before. He's gonna have a son now."

"No, I'm going to have a son." He made it perfectly clear that Bella wasn't having his child. She regrets telling him about the missed period in the first place. He didn't care, just said to get it taken care of. And that was out of question. So she lied. Told him it was just a scare.
