A.N. – So I've been looking through the Drake & Josh archive, and realized that there are far too little Drake and Megan moments. So I've decided to do something about it! This here story is a 500 word (exactly 500) oneshot, and it's about Drake waking Megan up for school. Here goes!
Beep…beep…beep…CRUNCH.
Drake slowly rose out of bed. This wasn't fair. He had to wake up a full hour before usual, because he had to wake up Megan to go to school. Josh was off on some Honor Roll Europe trip, and Mom and Walter were at the hospital for his uncle, he cracked his head open or something. And of course Megan had the decency to go to a school that's 30 minutes before his. He sighed and thought about going back to bed. Restraining himself, he walked out of his room and towards Megan's closed door.
"Time to wake up!" he called out. No answer. "WAKE UP!" He shouted, louder. Still, no answer. He opened the door up just a crack and saw that Megan hadn't heard him, that she was still sleeping. Opening the door all the way, he walked towards Megan's bed and poked her. She didn't budge. He poked her harder. Megan kept sleeping. Was she dead? Drake tried shaking, yelling, taking the blankets off, dragging, and slapping her. Nothing worked. In the end, she just ended up on the floor in a pile of blankets.
Suddenly, he had an idea. They used to do this when they were younger, but had forgotten about it as they had grown older. He took the blankets and wrapped Megan in them, quite tightly.
She looks like a carpet roll, Drake thought and smiled. He then picked her up and swung her around. That woke her up.
"Drake! What are you – ahhhh!" She yelled, though Drake could tell that she liked it. He flung her onto the bed, and Megan couldn't hold it in anymore. She laughed. Drake lunged at her, and she strangled from the blankets, and ran from the room screaming. He chased her around the house and finally cornered her in front of the couch.
"TICKLE MONSTER!" He yelled and tackled her into the couch. Megan was gasping for breath she was laughing so hard.
"Uncle, uncle!" She cried, trying to make him stop.
All of a sudden he stopped, looked at her and said, "You know what to do."
And she did. This was her favorite part from when she was a kid. She stood up and yelled, "THE FLOOR IS LAVA!" They both made their way around the house, stepping on anything but the floor, re-enacting a horrible death when they did.
Finally they both collapsed onto the couch, laughing. They hadn't done anything like that since they were a lot younger. Megan looked over at Drake and said she was hungry.
"Two blueberry pancakes with syrup and bacon on the side coming up!" She smiled as he got up. So he did pay attention to her. She always thought he didn't care about her enough to remember what she liked and didn't like. Apparently she was wrong. Looking into the kitchen, she saw Drake whistling as he prepared their breakfast.
"This whole brother thing might not be so bad!" She smiled to herself.
A.N. – Hope ya liked it! If you have any ideas for me, just let me know! More chapters to come! R & R, thanks!
