Puppets... Who's pulling the strings?
Danny can't sleep, nothing usual, giving what has happen over the past year. Steve kidnapped and tortured, Chin being arrested by IA and ironically saved by his bastard of brother-in-law, and Danny killing an unarmed man after finding his brother dead.
That last part has kept Danny up a lot of nights. Something keeps nagging at him. Why was Reese unarmed, and why did he have his other arm hidden from sight? Why did it seem like every time he moved, Reese's gang fired at him, but when Steve moved and disarmed one of the gang members, they fired over his head, at his feet, anywhere but at Steve and they paid for that with their lives.
Danny thinks there is something going on, like someone is trying to get in between him and Steve or take him away from everybody. Rachel had dropped a bomb on him about Charlie being his son and need a bone marrow transplant. Danny is very angry over Rachel lying to him, and who knows what Stan thinks.
It was supposed to be a happy day, Kono is getting married, why is beyond Danny, and who shows up for the wedding, Catherine, now how did she know about the wedding. Did Kono let her or did someone else let her know and for Catherine to keep an eye on Steve. Could have Mr. Clean, meaning Joe, the mother from hell, Doris or someone else?
It is enough to drive man to drink. But Danny knows that is not the solution. It could lead to even more problems. Who is the puppet master? Who is making sure Gabriel, Chin's bastard of brother-in-law on the islands? Someone has to paying Gabriel lot money to keep him here in Hawai'i.
It is almost midnight, Danny knows he better get his ass to bed, because he will riding with Steve, which means he will running, jumping, shooting, trying not get blown up and be able to pick up his Monkey from school. Danny wonders how much longer Grace will allow him to call her by that nickname. He now has his Monkey and a Peanut.
Danny shakes his head and goes to bed, and waits for the alarm to go off.
Somewhere there is a person planning to break apart the Ohana that Steve has created. Jealousy, angrier, envy and something else that isn't allowed in polite society and Steve ever remembers what is locked away in his sixteen year old memory, there will be hell to pay.
