Preface
The knock on the door had become a regular routine in this sitation - no matter how many times I got brought home in handcuffs my mother, Renee, would roll her eyes and give me the same lecture. Telling me how I need to think about my future and if she wasn't a detective that they would have thown me in lock up.
I knew she was getting disperate to find a way to keep me from getting into trouble. She opened the door and looked at us not saying a word she opened the door wider and the officer took the handcuffs off me I walked in and sat on the couch, I heard her say a quick thanks to the officer for bringing me to her instead of the county lock up before shutting the door, I sat waiting for that lecture that I could repeat from memory.
But instead of the lecture I was expecting she sat down on the couch beside me.
"Bella, you know I love you and only want the best for you" she started. "I never want to make you do something I know you don't want to do, but..."
I sat quitely waiting to see where this new talk was going to go.
"But I don't know what to do anymore, I tried everything I could possible think of to get you to see how you are acting is dangerous, I don't want to see you get hurt you're a smart and beautiful girl.
I called your father, me and him had a nice long talk and we decided it would be best if you got away from here for a while. Away from those hoodlums you call friends, so you're moving out with him."
"No" I said staring at her " I won't move out there and my friends aren't 'hoodlums'."
"This isn't a negotiation or something you get a say in. We don't know what to do with you anymore. Everytime it seems like you start acting better you go off and do something insane. Like tonight stealing a car? You're lucky James is a friend of mine and your fathers; you realize that he could have put you in jail for a long time for that?"
James a old family 'friend' they only see him as a good guy who holds doors open for people or helps old people across the street. They haven't seen the real him who if he wants something he gets it not matter what.
