Screams filled the air as the Boy-Who-Lived nearly fell off his own broomstick. The fans that had come out to support the exciting and thrilling game watched in shock as Harry Potter dangled dangerously from his broom. And Severus Snape knew it wasn't just accident (no matter how incompetent or arrogant Potter was, he wouldn't try to kill himself).
He was the only one to truly know what was going on. Hearing the faint, almost non-existent, mutterings of the imbecilic Quirrell, he hesitated. An old school rival brought itself to the front of his mind as he saw the boy hanging for dear life, rising higher and higher, danger becoming even more imminent. The broom was going to throw him off if Severus didn't act quickly, but his mind was at a blank at what to do. Suddenly the boy shifted and scared emerald green eyes blinked, and glanced at Snape's cold ones. Her eyes, he realized. Immediately words began to spill out of his mouth, as he closed his eyes for a moment, remembering an old friend.
