Prologue

The air in the room was cold. Too cold if one was being honest, but compared to the temperature outside the room was warm enough to take one's clothes off. Or at least that was what Sergeant A'Mon thought. The General motion for him to come forward his ring banging on the crudely hacked wooded table. With a closer look at the ring one would realize that it was a signet ring of the First General of the Armies of the Dragon Reborn. Upon further inspection one would notice that the General and the Sergeant both were of the same clan and looked the same, tall, dark-haired and too thin.

"Report?" barked one of the General's aids, one could see that it was a man from the Seachan lands, the region of Tu'Co'd in the far north were the only things worn were five pounds of clothing.

"Sir, you won't believe this but it seems like we are in the region of Mar'Fel, but that area fell during the Trolloc Wars three hundred years ago." A'mon said, trying to keep the confusion out of his voice.

"The Dragon Reborn tried a new portal today A'mon, it was a portal to the past. Our mission to be accomplished with 150 Companies of men of 150,000 men and 10,000 assorted hanger-ons along with 50 Asa'man is to rescue the Fortress city of Manthern. We are being led by Lord Rand himself, Lord Matt is leading, and Lord Perrin shall lead the fighting we shall not perish nor shall we fail." The General stood up his head a good inch or so from getting whacked on the six foot tall celling. He walked over to the Sergeant and looked straight into his eyes. "We shall save the Earth today Sergeant we will bring salvation to another time in the Great Pattern of the Ages."

The Sergeant walked outside his eyes sweeping the great expanse of the army and then he looked up seeing the fireworks from far off. Wait, fireworks? He looked closer it was battle. "Oh, shit here we go again" he thought.
