This is my first crossover, hopefully it won't be horrendous. Just to be safe I'll go hid in a bunker for a few months. Read and review.
Annabeth and I were taking Mrs. O'Leary for a walk when it happened. I knew something was wrong in an instant. I could feel someone watching us. I thrust my hand into my pocket to reassure myself that Riptide was there. Only one problem with that. Riptide was gone.
I nudged Annabeth, "Something's not right." I whispered. She nodded and grasped her dagger. From the corner of my eye I noticed movement "Run!" I shouted. In an instant we were surrounded by a ring of monsters, directly in front of us was a titan with goat horns. I recognized him in an instant, Krios, the depressed titan who was left to guard Mt. Tam while Kronos tried to destroy Olympus.
"Looking for something Jackson?" Krios taunted, holding up Riptide for me to see. Krios promptly proceeded to throw Riptide over his shoulder. "Oops!" he said. For once things were looking up for me, in throwing Riptide over his shoulder Krios had made a critical mistake, and I felt Riptide return to my pocket. At the moment it was the only advantage I had, so I decided to hide it until the goat-horned titan started to attack.
Even though it was a low blow I knew there was only one thing Krios hated about himself."Hey Krios, want to get your horns filed?" I jeered. The titans face turned red, so I knew I had hit a nerve. He pulled a golden bow and a strange almost falling apart arrow from off of his back. Krios pulled back the bowstring and pointed it at Annabeth. Lightening fast I stepped in the path of the arrow. Undeterred the titan released the arrow and it flew towards my stomach.
The arrow slammed home, and sickly green blood flowed out of my abdomen. It was impossible, my dip in the Styx should have made that arrow bounce off of me! I could feel poison slowly seep into my veins, I staggered and collapsed onto the ground.
"Percy!" Annabeth wailed crouching down next to me. She turned her gaze onto Krios, if looks could kill the goat horned Titan would be dead a thousand times over. Behind the monsters I saw something move. I blinked and it was gone, I must have been hallucinating.
I was slowly losing consciousness, black oblivion was creeping into the edges of my vision, threatening to send me into an unending sleep. A savage war cry erupted from all around us, I prepared to be overwhelmed by the fifty monsters that Krios had brought with him. Something very different happened, warriors came rushing from the trees in central park! At first I thought that my saviors were half-bloods, but I noticed that most of them were wearing tree bark armor and had green skin. It seemed as if all of central park's dryads had come to help out.
I squeezed Annabeth's hand and managed to whisper a faint "Go" she opened her mouth to protest, but apparently thought better of it and put on her Yankee's hat. I was really fading now, the din of battle acted like a weird sort of lullaby and I started to feel drowsy. I fought the sensation, knowing that if I gave in now it would likely be the last thing I did. The poison wasn't the only thing killing me though, blood flowed quite quickly out of my stomach and onto the formerly green grass of the serene park. This wouldn't be such a bad place to die I thought. Actually the green grass, beautiful trees and sky made it quite the inviting place.
All around me I could see monsters turning to dust as their hides were pierced by some celestial bronze weapon. Despite all of my fighting I could not stave off the poison's effects, I slid slowly into unconsciousness. As I succumbed I must have been hallucinating again, because I thought I saw a huge rat appear near the edge of the tree line.
