Shane looked up and met eyes with Mitchie, who was his 4 year girlfriend, and saw that she was looking at him curiously. Thoughts, --or more likely one thought-- were running throughout her head. "What's up?" Shane asked. "Um.. the roof, the trees, the sky, the lightbulb, the clouds, my grade-point average..." Shane rolled his eyes. "Just because you got straight A's in highschool, doesn't mean you can brag about it." Mitchie smiled, "Yes it does."

Shane laughed, "Anyways, I meant what's up with you. What are you thinking about?"

"You" She replied simply. Mitchie saw Shane smirk and wink seductively at her, "Now don't let your ego get too big."

"Too late." Shane joked.

Mitchie smiled sarcastically. "I was wondering.. Have you ever thought about getting something pierced?"

"My belly button!"

Mitchie laughed, "I meant your ears, or ear, or mouth, etc." she said.

"Oh.. No. Why?" Shane questioned.

"Because.. Boys with a piercing are more reading for marriage." Mitchie explained.

"How so?"

"They've experienced the pain, and have bought jewelry."

"Wow, baby girl. Where do you get these things?" Shane chuckled.

She shrugged and noticed that someething about Shane was different. "You okay?"

"Yeah, of course." he answered. "Mitchie, baby?"

"Mhm?"

He kissed her forehead, "Wanna go out for Dinner?"

-

Shane was the romantic type, even though he can come off as immature and egotistical. He had made huge suprises for Mitchie. Like when he took her to Dinner on the beach and asked her to be his girlfriend. And when he planned a huge suprise party for her on her sweet sixteen. But the best suprise he had planned out was the dinner he planned for himself and Mitchie.

"Shane? Where are we?" A blindfolded Mitchie asked.

"I told you, we're in Ameeeriiicaaa" he said, exagerrating the "America" part.

"I meant where are you taking me?" She said.

"Secret." he whispered into her ear, making Mitchie shiver.

-

"Shane!" Mitchie exclaimed, "Are you serious?" Mitchie was overwhelmed with joy at the moment. Shane had just purposed, and she was a loss for words.

"Um, yeah?" Shane smiled.

"Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" Mitchie whispered as tears fell down her cheek.

Shane stood up and kissed her with so much passion. "I love you." he whispered.

"I love you too." Mitchie said as she hugged him. She looked carefully at Shane's right ear.

"Shane?" she smiled.

He looked at her, "Yeah?"

"You got a piercing!?"

He smiled sheepishly, "Yeah.."
