The snow was getting higher that January night at Hogwarts. The students were still in alt from the Yule ball a few weeks ago and had taken to strolling in the snow.
The Durmstrang students had frozen a small pond on the way to Hogsmeade and were teaching ice dancing to those Hogwarts students who wished to learn.
As the professor on duty that night, Severus Snape had watched the all-too-obviously smitten Viktor Krum transfigure Miss Granger's snow boots into Ice skates before he whirled her onto the ice. She was certainly enjoying the experience in his arms. Ron Weasley was on the sidelines, looking pouty as usual. The snow was falling gently as Krum lowered his face to kiss the young girl in his arms.
