"Right." She thought "This is it, my big chance."

Sully geared herself for what she was about to do. It was her toughest challenge yet. Fighting the Risen on the North Road was child's play compared to what she was about to do. With blade in hand she stepped towards her adversary. "Okay, you piece of crap, today is last day. I finally have you right where I want you."

It didn't reply.

Sully raised her blade and prepared to finish it. She had been planning this for months now. Nothing could go wrong – not this time. Last time had been a disaster. But that was behind her now. She had learned from it and this time everything would be perfect. She swung the blade.

Robin sat down. It had been a long day. The war with Plegia was taking its toll. The attempt on the Exalts' life last night had shocked everyone – especially Chrom. Thankfully no one had been seriously injured but all the Shepherds were on high alert. The steady stream of Risen skirmishes didn't help. He sighed and noticed a cup that hadn't been there a moment ago.

"Again," he thought "maybe the rumours about a ghost haunting the camp are true."

But that was a thought for another time, now was the time for food. There were some great cooks amongst the Shepherds, Sumia for one. The kitchen doors opened. It was time; time to tuck in…

Sully beamed. Everything had gone perfectly. Even the boar had cooked properly. It had only taken four attempts, a new record. Soon she would take the title of Masterchef and be a champion on and off the battlefield.

The meeting was going on and on – at least it seemed to. His stomach wasn't helping. Being a tactician wasn't easy, especially for an entire army, Chrom and Frederick helped but the stress was piling up. Thank the gods that tomorrow was his day off. He tried to focus but something was off – Chrom looked ill and Frederick wasn't his usual stern self either.

"Gods, I knew the assassination attempt had shaken him but I didn't think that it had affected him that much."

Once again his mind drifted towards the man he had fought last night, Validar.

"Who was he?"

He was brought back to his senses suddenly as Chrom ran from the tent and was quickly followed by Frederick.

"What's going on? Oh no. I think I know."

Robin didn't get as far as the other two.

"Thank the Gods I'm not on cleaning duty."
