9:00am - London, UK - Armstech international
A blonde irish woman in a business suit steps into a lift with a man, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), she informs him of his schedule for the coming week, it appears as though he is now in change of private security for the building. As they depart the lift a man brushes past Bauer looking him straight in the eye. Then makes a run for the lift, Bauer gives chase but cannot enter the lift in time, he races down stairs as the lift descends, as it stops on the ground floor the assailant makes a run for it, only to be caught by Bauer. Bauer presses him against the wall and cuffs him, checking his jacket he finds some top secret papers. He gives the man over to security, and then takes the papers away with him.
4.17am - Washington D.C. -
On the eve of Polling Day for the presidency, candidate Michael Carter (Eric McCormack) rides in his limo towards a luxury hotel suite, in his limo Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskjubb) taps away on her laptop, informing him that the latest polls indicate that he is "neck and neck" with the other candidate. Carter asks Chloe how her daughter is, Chloe responds that she is doing well and Morris is coping well with looking after her whilst she is away.
4:25am - Washington D.C. - CTU Washington D.C. -
Jake Sharp, A computer analalyst taps away on his keyboard, he has mail. In the email it reads top secret and is encrypyted, the analyst decrypts it, and calls over his boss, Malcomn Ayr. Malcomn asks the analyst to send it to Buchanen, and then walks quickly to Buchanens office. Buchanen reads the email, and then picks up the phone, he asks for Mike Novvik.
4.35am - Washington D.C. - Hotel Suite
A woman we recognise as Karen Hayes is in bed, trying to sleep, but she cannot, she gets up grabbing a robe and leaves her room, setting herself down in the lounge there is a knock at the door. She goes to get it, it is Mike Novikk he says they have a problem. She joins him in his hotel room, he tells her that CTU DC has reports that there is going to be an assasination attempt on Lynn Kresge. Karen asks how real the threat is, and Mike informs her that Bill said it was level 1.
9.48am - London - Jack Bauers office
Jack enters, and sits behind his desk, he starts to read the papers that the man tried to steal, he sees something he doesnt like and picks up the phone.
4.50am - Washington D.C. - Hotel Suite
Chloe and Michael enter the penthouse, some children run to Michael, their daddy, followed by their mother, his wife Alexa (Sela Ward). Chloe gets a call, its Jack. They havent spoken for some time, and its very awklward. Jack tells Chloe that he has found papers detailing a plot to assasinate both presidential candidates on election day. Chloe looks worried, and says that she is working for one of the candidates, and that election day is today. Suddenly the phone goes dead on Jacks end.
4.55am - Washington D.C. - CTU DC
Daniel Hawkes enters CTU D.C., he walks straight into Bill Buchanens office. Bill tells Daniel that he needs to call him back from a suspension. That they've received intelligence linking Michael Carter with an assasination attempt on his presidential rival Lynn Kresge.
9.58am - London, UK - Armstech International
Jack Bauer walks out of his office, just as a massive explosion engulfs the building.
