Gibbs returned to his desk to find a black envelope on his desk, sitting atop his keyboard, waiting expectantly to be read. His name was written on it in silver ink, each letter capitalised and precise. Even if the envelope hadn't been distinctively Abby's, he would have recognised the handwriting.
When he opened it, the black mood he'd been in all day receded, at least until the case next hit a brick wall.
Come to my apartment tonight for coffee. I think I can cheer you up a little…
Recognising the universal euphemism for sex, Gibbs allowed himself a grin.
