All he thought that day was 'don't get up, I have a feeling this is going to be a bad day'
And he was right. He shouldn't have gotten up at all. It started off with stubbing his toe as he got out of bed, then there was no milk left and the day just got progressively worse from here. When he got into work there was seventeen missed call from Angela, cam and Hodgens. But that wasn't what bothered him when he sat down. It was the unmarked letter that was lying on his desk that had the hairs on the back of his neck rising.
He ignored the letter
He went to his car and stopped in front of the lab and ran inside where the squints were all running around madly and Angela was sitting on the step crying with cams arms wrapped around her.
When Angela looked up and saw him she shook cam off and ran towards booth hitting him with her fists and screaming at him
'You fucking asshole...if you were with her last night...and not with Hannah...then this never would have happened...this is all your fault'
Hodgens ran over to his wife and pulled her off the man she was assaulting. He had tear marks down his face and his hair was ruffled. Come to think of it all the squints looked like this. What had happened?
'What's going on?' he asked after he smoothed his clothing down
'Come on I'll show you' cam pulled him along into autopsy and over to one of the metal tables. A sheet covered the form of what could only be a woman.
'No, no...Bones, Bones?' booth ran through the lab and into his partner's office. It was dark and she was not there. He picked up one of her jumpers and slid down onto the floor clasping to his partners jumper and smell.
'Bones'
