The Lone gem.
Okay guys this is my first one shot, and who better than to do it about than our new gem lapis luzli!
Under my blue water wings, I glide through the cosmos, overjoyed that my gem is finally fixed. Steven...what an unusual name for a gem. He didn't really seem like he was from home... Like he was different. Either way, he freed me and fixed my gem, so he's good in my book. As I look up further into the dark abyss of space, I see a tiny red speck grow in size as I come nearer. Oh! To be home back in the Pearl kingdom! Wait until her mother and her 9 sisters finds out what she's been doing on earth. She and the rest of the so called CRYSTAL gems, will be tried for their crimes against gemanity. I honestly don't even remember the day I left... The day we all left. It was so long ago... Having a broken gem, and being trapped in that mirror for so long, really jacked up my memory. A couple more light years... Emerging over the five stars before my home, I see the red planet, my planet... Home. As I fly closer, I realize something is wrong. Swiftly, I burst through the atmosphere and land in the streets of the pearl palace. I remember... the streets were made of glass, and the bricks on the road were a natural orange color. The skies were always blue, and the Queen always merciful, and beautiful. Now... Destruction leveled the city. My once beautiful kingdom... covered in charcoal, and dead minerals, still rotting in the streets. What the heck happened?
"Hello? somebody? Anybody?" I yelled, my voice echoing I'm the lonely streets.
I guess I'll go home... See if my mother is around or not... My blue gem glowed, activating the pathways home. Hovering over my once beautiful land, I notice something moving.
"Hey! Hey you! What happened here?" I called lowering myself to the ground.
I walk closer, realizing it wasn't a gem, or a mineral. The creature looked over its back, and started growling.
"Who are you? What are you?"
I begin to back up, summoning more water to my aid. The creature leaps for me, but I quickly subdue it with my water. More creatures emerge, but I'm ready.
"You picked the wrong gem to mess with," I growled.
With water covering my blue skin on my arms, I prepare to defend myself against my attackers. One of them leap, but I pin it with a water arm. The whole group jumps me, but my abilities greatly out match their numbers. Standing up, I whip all the monsters away from me. All of them either run away or are drowned. These creatures, I've never seen them before. Flying through the sky, I finally reach my watery home. Once I enter, the place looks ransacked. Tables and chairs flipped over, and my precious family photos are broken. My mom, like the rest of the neighborhood, isn't present.
"Mom? Mama? Are you here?"
No one was home... Knowing that my planet is deserted and in ruins, makes me wish I stayed inside of the mirror... My home, my mother, my planet...all gone, and I'm the only one left...
