Thor lies dying. Loki runs to his side, and cradles his brother's broken body.
Loki - "You're going to be fine. I'll-"
Thor - "What are you gonna do? 'Get Help'?" He laughs, then coughs blood.
Loki - "Easy."
Loki - "It should have been me instead."
Thor - "No, brother. It's you who's worthy now."
Loki - "I could never do what you did. What you still do."
Thor - "Of course you could. I know it. I can...feel it." Thor grasps his arm.
Loki - "What? No!" Power surges through him.
Thor - "You wanted to be my equal."
Loki - "Not like this. Never like this."
Thor - "Doesn't matter. I save Asgard today. You save it tomorrow. Deal?"
Loki breaking down in barely contained tears - "Deal."
Thor dies.
A/N :
I think Thor will die. Loki has already "died". Besides, it would mean the throne passes to him again. And that would be a sad way to inherit the throne...
But at least he would be alive. :)
Plus, I think, before dying Thor would transfer his Thunder powers to Loki.
That would be quite touching. Loki being entrusted with the power that is usually only inherited by the biological kids of Odin. Being entrusted rather than just inheriting.
Loki, finally being Thor's complete equal. Upon his brother's death.
Can you even imagine such a scene?
