"totto." Rubbing my light eyes awake. "hemanta." The shine of a katana flased me conscious. "t-t-totto." A hand covered her tattoed mouth, her dress was torn, and her hand were bleeding. She clawed at there fingers. one gave way and she screamed.
"SIKANNA, HOYUPU!" dirty feet clawed into the wooden floor. His hand clamped on her face once again.
"esinuma erum!" I shouted torwards them. "SISAM ERUM!"
"ehh?" they looked angry. One approached me, I was too shocked to move. Something hit my head, and my sight faded to black.
sinen… sinnam… sinen … sinnam… the words echoed through my head… sinen… sinnam… alone… coldness… totto, where are you. Totto, totto. Each gotting louder and louder as I couldn't bare it. My eyes flew open, but, I couldn't see right. Some things I looked at had a twin layering it. I closed my left eye, and saw the same. But I closed the right, and it was dark. It took me a few trys to figure out that I'd lost my sight in the left eye. I touched my lip right on the tattoo. "totto" wincing my eyes shut, salty water drifted down my pale cheaks and into my brown hair. By now she was probably dead, I have to be on my own now. To get a better view I closed my blind eye, scanning the room. I'm at okirasnu's house. 2 down is mine, I need to grab her tumi. Hobbling to the open door, I saw the true terror of what these people did. Corpses of my friends and family were srewn like scraps from a festival. Fires raged through the buildings with so many memories.
"easkay." I whispered letting out a sigh. One step after another into frozen water, ash's fluttering in the air burning my skin. "easkay." I repeated "easkay." This is where it should be. The second I turned, the land that was my home was now in flames. "totto."
Rushing into the dangerous. Thick clouds filling my air ways. Left wall. Flicking my head to the side. Totto tumi. The laquer casing was charing by the flames. No. I reached for it. Hot, but for her. A creak of wood. It was going to give way. Remembering my mothers words "HOYUPU." Run… I ran and ran. Out of the village, out of my old life, out of the memories, out of my friends, my family, everyone.
Stop. Feet skidded, gathering dust. Heavy breaths. I looked in a iced over puddle. Everyone said I had her face, long brown hair, pale blue eyes.
~flashback~
"sikanna… what beautiful hair." The teenagers cooed.
"thank totto." They all giggled. Apparently, I was cute to them. "baka." I mutered.
"sikanna, you know only young kids speak japanese. Please translate."
"it means, um, thank you..."
~un-flashback~
her hair. To much pain, I need no reminders. I took the katana out of its sheath. Showing my eyes. Her eyes. Snagging a handful of dark locks, and bringing the tumi near the root, and slicing quickly. Watching strands fall behind.
