A/N: I was procrastinating my homework...and this happened. I had seen an interview of Daniel Radcliffe singing this song so that's where the idea comes from. Let me know what you think of my insanity?

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or the song The Elements by Tom Lehrer.

Ron, Harry, and Hermione were sitting in the Gryffindor common room. They were all attempting to do their homework. Suddenly Harry groaned. "This is ridiculous! How does Snape expect us to know all this? I'd rather do muggle science. At least I was good at that when I was little..." he trailed off.

Hermione was still writing vigorously but Ron put his quill down and looked at Harry. "Muggle science? Like what?"

"Huh?" Harry said, confused. He had kind of been talking to himself before. "I dunno...I always liked the periodic table of elements."

Hermione perked up upon hearing this and stopped writing. "What's that you said?"

"The periodic table of elements? I like it better then potions...it's easier."

"That wasn't much easier!"

"Well I kind of memorized all the elements...helped a bit..."

Hermione stared at Harry dumbstruck. "You memorized the whole thing?"

Ron snorted, trying to hold back a laugh. "What and you didn't?" He certainly felt a tad left out of this conversation, but figured it must be hard to learn-sounded like something Hermione would do.

"Well no, there were just too many. How in the world did you manage..." she looked at Harry.

"Well...I learned the song."

"There's a song? Muggle schools sound really weird." Ron grinned.

"Well, yea." Harry said.

"Sing it!" Ron prompted him.

"Uhm no, that's all right. Should just keep doing this load of work-"

"C'mon Harry!" Hermione joined in.

Harry groaned again, but started singing very fast. "There's antimony, arsenic, aluminum, selenium, and hydrogen and oxygen and nitrogen and rhenium, and nickel, neodymium, neptunium, germanium, and iron, americium, ruthenium, uranium, europium, zirconium, lutetium, vanadium, and lanthanum and osmium and astatine and radium, and gold and protactinium and indium and gallium, and iodine and thorium and thulium and thallium. There's yttrium, ytterbium, actinium, rubidium, and boron, gadolinium, niobium, iridium, and strontium and silicon and silver and samarium, and bismuth, bromine, lithium, beryllium, and barium. There's holmium and helium and hafnium and erbium, and phosphorus and francium and fluorine and terbium, and manganese and mercury, molybdenum, magnesium, dysprosium and scandium and cerium and cesium. And lead, praseodymium, and platinum, plutonium, palladium, promethium, potassium, polonium, and tantalum, technetium, titanium, tellurium, and cadmium and calcium and chromium and curium. There's sulfur, californium, and fermium, berkelium, and also mendelevium, einsteinium, nobelium, and argon, krypton, neon, radon, xenon, zinc, and rhodium, and chlorine, carbon, cobalt, copper, tungsten, tin, and sodium."

He finished and took a deep breath as Ron stared at him in shock and Hermione stared at him in something like awe.

"Bloody hell!" Ron exclaimed.

Hermione still stared at Harry, at a loss for words.

Ron took in her fascinated expression and leaned over to whisper in Harry's ear "You have got to teach me that mate."

A/N: Good luck Ron! I'm currently trying to memorize this song just because. And, well, it's not easy.
