Dear Jess,

When you die it's not like what people tell you, when you die, all your memories don't flash before your eyes, there is no one to guide you the heaven, all there is, is a since of hope, that everything is going to be alright.

You know it is funny how people mourn for us, when we are finally completely freed from our human bonds and now are able to do anything you can imagine.

So please do not mourn for me, for I am in Terabithia forever, watching you.

So when ever you need me I'll always be there for you, May Bell, or anyone else who stumbles into Terabithia.

Remember the day we met, you hated me for beating you in that stupid race, and would not even talk to me.

See, from the moment I met you I knew I had to be your friend. It was like something was calling me towards you. I had to be friends with you.

I was told when I got here, that I was not supposed to die so soon. They said you were supposed to pull me out, making our friendship unbreakable. Though, it isn't your fault Jess, they said some events had to be changed so you could become who you're supposed to be.

So fate stuck her head in and decided to change some things, it happens, Jess.

Just don't forget the times we had, because that will keep me alive to you, and to the world.

Someone once told me, it is better to have friends and die young than to die old and with none, they were right.

I died with my with my mind wide open, thanks to you. I think the few months I knew you were the best in my life, so remember; you'll always be my best friend, even in death.

All my love,

Leslie Burke

P.S If you want to reply, leave a letter on the bridge. I'll find it.

P.P.S Keep you mind wide open, always.

Short I know, I just wanted to write a happy ending for one of my favorite characters.
