TRUE FAMILY
I can be an ass.
This much I know
I can't argue the point
You're right
So what keeps you here?
You always are.
What compels you to stay?
Instead of throwing up your hands, and going to a bar.
I yell at you.
I insult you.
Yet you take the brunt of it all.
Never waiving from my side.
I've never said thank you
Due to my aversion—
Of all things warm and fuzzy
But you are my friend—no my brother.
You're always there when I need you
Even when I didn't want you there
There you'd be
Tired, haggard—but always there just the same.
You always care for me
And usually end up neglecting yourself.
Like that does either of us any good.
But we're family—we're brothers.
