I was watching old Suite Life On Deck episodes, and this idea just came to me. It's the first I've written in ages, so my writing may be a bit rusty.
When it came to boys and dating, London Tipton had a preference. A very clear one.
Firstly, they had to be rich. Duh, right? After all, she was London Tipton! What on earth would the magazines be saying if she was seen with some poor, peasant boy? It made her shudder, just thinking about it.
They had to be attractive. Attractive enough that there would be a flock of girls swooning over him, while London stood there grinning, because the guy was hers.
Obviously London had a preference; not every guy could be her boyfriend! And she liked it that way. It made her feel... special.
Of course, there was just one problem. And the problem was a guy called Zack Martin.
Zack, Zack, Zack. They'd been friends since Zack and his twin Cody had moved into the Tipton hotel. Several years later, they'd come along to the SS Tipton to attend Seven Seas High, just like her.
She'd never had much of an interest in Cody; he was too uptight, too responsible, too intelligent, too boring... whereas Zack had an amazing sense of humor. Both London and Zack shared a love for making fun of people, playing pranks and not caring about studying.
Zack was (admittedly) not the richest. He wasn't poor, but he definitely wasn't rich. He also wasn't particularly attractive, although he had a new girlfriend every week. The guy was a huge flirt. Still, London couldn't help but notice how Zack had never tried to make a move on her. Not even once, in all the years that they'd known each other. He'd even flirted with Maddie and Bailey before... but not London.
She was sure that Zack would at least consider her a close friend. But sometimes, she found herself laughing a bit too hard at his jokes (while Cody and Bailey glared reproachfully).
Sometimes, she realized that she had stared a few seconds too long at him. Sometimes, when they hugged, she found her heart beat faster than normal, felt the heat rise up to her cheeks.
Maybe, just maybe, if London was not London Tipton, and if she was not so rich and stunningly pretty and had so many standards when it came to guys... then maybe she would allow herself to crush on Zack Martin.
