In the mist of the attitude era, pro wrestler Triple H finds his friends being the center of a serial kidnapping. He is teamed up with a woman who seems to be the cause of it all. Their growing passion for each other forces Hunter to want to protect her and save his friends. NOTE: I do not own the characters from Criminal Minds, WWF or WCW. I do own my O/C.

1. Chapter 1

Authors note: I have never written a murder mystery. But, I got inspired by watching reruns of Criminal Minds. So I decided to try a story with wrestling stars. It's going to be intense! Hope you like it. Mystery, drama, and romance.

****Hotel room of Shawn Michaels June 1998

BREAKING NEWS:

"Another wrestler goes missing tonight as the manhunt continues to find assailants in the connection to the three amateur wrestlers who have been reported missing over the last six months. We are saddened tonight to announce professional wrestler, Bret Hart has been reported to have been missing since late last night from a hotel in Atlanta where a witness claimed seeing Hart shoved into a black van. Witnesses were unable to give any description of the make and model of the van or the assailant. Police have yet to confirm there is any connection at this time to the three former kidnappings. We will continue to update on this very disturbing and shocking event. More at eleven."

Shawn Michels AKA HBK walked over to the TV in his hotel room shutting it off. "This is crazy Hunter. You think those other missing guys are connected to this?"

"I don't know. I know you have heat with Bret but, I can see your upset." Triple H tried to console his friend. "We should call Kevin and Scott. Maybe they have more info from WCW." Hunter grabbed his cell phone.

"Yeh. We had differences but, I'm worried about him. I've known him for years." Shawn went and sat on the bed putting his hands in his head rubbing over his hair.

Hunter reached for his phone. "Hey, Kev. We just saw the news report. This is crazy….Yeh. You guys ok? I'm sure it's crazy there…..Listen if you need anything, let us know. Ok, talk to you later." Hunter hung up. "No news. They said Bischoff has them on lockdown right now."

"Those Indie guys. They have been gone for a while. The first one was six months ago. There is not going to be a good end to this. We all are going to have to be more careful." Shawn sat back on the bed worried. Bret and Shawn had problems since the Montreal Screwjob situation but, he would never wish this on anyone. Shawn fought to keep back tears. Looking over at Hunter he saw his best friends was worried too.

Next few days were intense. The whole wrestling community was in a buzz. Bret had gone missing without a trace and now the FBI was involved. Everyone was on edge wondering if it was just about Bret or were other wrestlers at risk. Rumors flew and everyone was feeling vulnerable.
