Jev gazed across the lavish garden, eyes on the lovely maiden that sat with her friend in the gazeebo. She was truly a sight to behold; long aurburn tendrils that fell in ringlets and reached her mid-back, caramel brown eyes that glistenend when she was amused, and an amazing figure, if Jev could be so bold.
He cleared his throat and looked away when her friend glanced over, clearly checking for the young damsel if his attentions were still captivated. Jev internally slapped himself in reprimend, he was an angel. A servant of a higher power, and he knew how dangerous it was for him to give so much attention to a mere mortal.
He couldn't help it, though. Any man would be a fool not to see the beauty young Aurora possesed, and being an angel, Jev knew he was just as good looking, just as charming as the beauty. They could be together, he knew, if circumstances were different.
The pesky friend, Jev believed her name was Katherine, looked over again, This time the angel steeled his nerves and held his gaze, staring freely at the mortal without abandon. This was yet another naive move on his part, and even more dangerous. Letting his affections be even more known.
His beauty stood from her perch and glanced at him, flashing perhaps the most beautiful smile Jev had ever been graced with in his time before turning back to her friend and saying a few short words. Jev was convinced his heart would stop its rythmic beat as she stepped away from the gazeebo and started walking toward his place in the gardens.
He blinked a few times, wanting to be sure what he was seeing was real. Sure enough, here she was, pratically gliding toward him, that angelic (no pun intended) smile adorning her face. Jev shaked his head a bit, and walked to meet her in her descent.
He knew he had signed his gravestone, but he couldn't bring himself to care.
