Based on the challenge of writing a story counting down from 10.

10- The doctor reached out for my hand, I was almost there but the TARDIS kept flying father away. I know it wasn't on purpose, the doctor couldn't help it. If the TARDIS didn't get away soon the world would implode on itself. If it came to keeping me with him or saving the world, I know what he's choose and I couldn't blame him.

9- Only a little further; if only I could make it, everything would be okay. I had to make it. I couldn't let him leave me behind, I was used to adventure, I couldn't return to my everyday life.

8- I felt the adrenalin kick in, I could do it. I could make it. I could stay with the doctor.

7- My ears started to pick up something, a slight whooshing sound. "Nooooo!" I cried, I was almost there. He couldn't leave me.

6- "Run!" he yelled, begging me to hurry up. But I couldn't go any faster. My legs had been running for far too long and I didn't think they had it in them to go any farther.

5- "Doctor!" I screamed, tears leaking down my eyes. "Don't leave me!"

4- The TARDIS started to vanish, the edges fading into the time vortex. I looked up at the doctor as he stretched his hand out even farther, reaching for me. His eyes showed the same sadness I was feeling.

3- I tripped, tumbling forward onto the ground. I looked up at the doctor; silently begging him not to leave, but not moving to get up. He yelled at me, but he was to far away to hear. I'm not quite sure, but I think he was saying sorry.

2- My head hung, he was gone and he'd couldn't come back. If he returned, all of humanity would be doomed. He couldn't come back.

1- "I don't want to stay." I whispered into the void of space.
