A fourth of July story for FMA
"It's the fourth of July." Roy said smiling at his lover. The small blonde boy was reading a book in their living room, sitting in his favorite black leather chair.
"Yes...they do have calendars now." Ed said looking at Roy like he had two heads.
"It's independence day silly." Roy sighed. He couldn't believe the blonde didn't even know what the fourth of July was.
"Yay, let's get the beer, and go wild." Ed said sarcastically.
"Come on, Ed. I have some fireworks in the basement." Roy plead.
"...Do we get to watch a scary movie after dark?" Ed asked.
"Ed, you know how I feel about you seeing scary movies after dark." Roy face palmed.
"I'll watch one I've seen before."
"Fine." Roy dragged Ed to the basement by the braid. They quickly got some fireworks out, and Roy brought the grill into their backyard.
Al eventually came over to their house, and brought Winry and Pinako too. They had said they needed to get out of Rezembool, so they came over to see city life for a while.
Havoc brought Breda, and Fuery and Falman came together. Riza brought Black Hayate, and Ling brought Lan-Fan.
They all cooked steaks, and drank soda. Roy make hot dogs, and shrimp. A few short jokes were thrown out, laughing and teasing, screaming and yelling. Al and Ed didn't get half the sex jokes that Roy and his crew made, but they didn't need to for laughing. They were all having fun.
Eventually, nightfall came, and the fireworks were blasted. Beautiful lights shined throughout the starry skies. Ed and Roy kissed, romance was blossomed.
Even Al and Winry were kissing. Falman, and Pinako, Hawkeye and Havoc...Breda had left a while ago due to Black Hayate barking at him.
Later, when everyone left, Roy and Ed sat down to watch "The Shining". Later after the movie was over, Ed and Roy went to bed.
Ed was nuzzled into Roy's chest, clinging onto him for dear life. And that, my lovely readers, was the wonderful fourth of July for Edward Elric, and Roy Mustang.
And now we know why Roy doesn't like Ed watching scary movies after dark. Well, REVIEW OR I'LL KILL YOUR FAMILIES! Nah I'm just kidding...or am I?
