AN: this is my first Merlin fic and its AU, I was listening to something and it made me inspired to write this fic, I hope Ya'll would read it and enjoy. Reviews are very welcome but flames are not

Last night Good night
Merlin was waiting it has been hours since he heard from his husband, it was their five year wedding anniversary and he was hoping that Arthur would come home early so that they could spend their evening together, but he never came he called his workplace but they said that the younger Pendragon left the office on time, he was becoming more and more worried when even Uther doesn't know where he went, he was panicking and the result of that is a call from the police but they told him that it will only be considered a missing person's case if the victim was gone for more than 24 hours, but it was only six hours so nothing fruitfull happened from that call.
He was beginning to dial Morgana's number on his mobile when the phone rang, chuking his mobile aside he quickly went to the phone hoping in all hope that it was Arthur, what he heard made him lose all his strength and left him trembling.
" Hello is this Mr. Melin Pendragon " the woman in the other line said.
" Yes speaking " he said rather nervously.
" I'm afraid I have some terrible news , it seems that your husband had been involved in a car accident "
" What do you mean, What happened " he said trembling uncontrollably.
" Sir your Husband did not make it on surgery in time , I regret to tell you that his dead" .
" …….no…….It can't be" tears were falling on Merlin's cheek as he spoke chocking his words slightly.
" I am sorry sir I would have informed you sooner but He has no identification on him as with the other victims, we just identified him on his dental records, and it is said that you were the one to call in case of emergencies".
After a few Hours he was at the hospital with Gwen Lance and Morganna , Merlin was shown to the morgue while the others wait outside to give him a moment to say goodbye to his husband.
As he lifted the sheet he saw the love his life scarred and pale be he did not care he bent down and kissed as he whispered his final words.
" I never knew this would be our last night , goodnight Arthur I'll see you soon" he said finally sobbing more freely on his Husbands chest, somehow Merlin knew that someday he will soon see his love .
I hope I wrote this right I want it to be a rather happy fic but well death fics are something I never done before so be gentle
