Dean led them up the stone path to the house. Approaching the wooden door with only slight hesitation, Sam took another deep breath.
He could only imagine what would be in store for him on the other side and he silently envied his brother's cool calmness as his own heart pounded violently against his rib cage with every beat.
For his entire life, he had wanted this moment but was convinced it would never come. Even now, it seemed surreal, almost like a dream.
They knocked on the door. A moment later, it swung open and there she was.
