"Susan!" Dr. Cox called as he walked by "Follow me." That was all I ever got from him; a girl's name and a command. I swear he had a list of names he had used because that man has never called me the same name twice. I followed him as we entered a patient's room. Long story short I had a new patient. I walk out trying to escape Perry before he could catch up. "Darla where are you going?" He calls after me. I turn and for the first time I yell back "I'm not a girl." I walk away faster to avoid the angry encounter. Of course he caught up with me later in the day. "Oh Hi Penelope, I've been looking for you." I envision?" "Yes Dr. Cox?" I ask innocently. He gives me his smile that says 'I'll kill you' I scream on the inside as he drags me away. We end up in the elevator.
He pushes the button to stop us and stands in front of me with his arms crossed. "Just where exactly do you get off yelling at me?" My answer was bold "Where do you get off calling me girls names?" I swear I saw steam coming out of his ears "Weeeelllll." He said drawing it out in the way he does "Listen hear Jessie, I'll stop calling you a girl when you prove to me you aren't." He turns and starts the elevator leaving me stunned. He walks away before I can answer. When I get off of work I head to a bar and drink a couple of appletinis. After those two drinks I push my scooter all the way to Perry's house.
I knock on his door until he answers it. "What?" He says as he opens it. I push my way in "I'm drunk and I'm here to prove to you" I say as I kick my shoes off "that I am not a girl." I try taking my shirt off, but it gets stuck and I end up just flailing there with my shirt almost over my head. "Let me just stop you there" Cox says as he comes over and stables me before I can fall. His hands are warm and I let out a long hum as he starts pulling my shirt back down over my body." I smile goofily at him "Why did you stop me." "Because you are drunk" "Not enough to make a decision I wouldn't if I was sober" I said smugly.
I unbutton my pants and start sliding them down my legs. I hear Perry inhale sharply. I look up and see him biting his lip as he looks. "See!" I exclaim "I'm. Not. A. Girl." He walks away and over to his scotch and pours himself a drink. He swishes it down before responding "No, you certainly aren't." I pull the pants off of my ankles before walking over to him. "He licks his lips before speaking "You can't just walk around my apartment half naked." I laugh and say in a sing songy voice "But I am." He grabs the blanket off of the back of the couch and starts to cover me with it. He is standing closer to me now and he whispers "you should go." I suddenly feel not so drunk so I lean in and kiss him. It doesn't last long before he moves away.
He does lick his lips again however and says "Did you have an appletini?" I giggle "Yep!" I say proudly. He laughs "Well Newbie, you have proved yourself not a girl. You can go home now." Like I had said earlier I didn't feel so drunk, so I shook my head and in a serious, but soft voice I say "I want to stay" he crosses the room and says "Thank the lord" and kisses me. I let go of the blanket to grab onto him; the blanket falls exposing me. He trails one hand down to me and grabs me. I let out a low growl of approval as he strokes faster. I lose the power to stand up, so I lean on him as he continues to have his fun. When I finish he cleans up and says "Well you certainly are not a girl." I get dressed and he walks me to the door. "Goodnight… J.D." he says quietly, but I still hear him say my name. I smile and say "Thank you" before walking back to my scooter.
