Thunder crashed as Wendy ran as fast as she could for the shore, hoping that the boat that she's been working on remained intact since she finished it a few days ago. The faster she ran, the harder the rain poured, an indication that Pan was not happy and would stop at nothing to keep her on the island. Suddenly, she heard the noise she's been dreading since she left the compound, the sound of Pan's shadow gaining on her rapidly. Just like that it grabbed her by the back of the dress and lifted her in the air, soaring above the path she had just run down in attempt to leave Neverland. As the shadow approached Pan's compound Wendy regretted her decision more and more, recalling the threats that Pan had made the last time she attempted to escape the island. Upon landing in the center of the compound, Wendy could already sense Pan's anger. When the shadow left, however, she seemed to be the only person there, unable to find a single lost boy or Pan himself.

"I know you're out there!" she screamed as she frantically looked around, trying to find the location where Pan was hiding, waiting to make his attack. "You don't scare me!" she yelled into the trees hoping to provoke Pan enough as to make him show his face for long enough for her to pounce and make her attack. As she went to scream again, though, she heard a vine snapping and something whirring through the trees. Before Wendy could move, a cage, made of sticks and vines, slammed down on top of her, preventing any further movements.

"You thought you could escape the great Peter Pan?" echoed through the forest as a dark figure emerged from the surrounding trees.

"You're a monster! You know you can't keep me here forever. Eventually someone is going to come looking for me!" Wendy yelled in the general direction of the figure.

"Well, darling, that's the best part: only people who aren't loved come to Neverland, so I doubt that anyone will come looking for you. You'll be here forever." The figure replied.

By this point Pan had stepped into a patch of light and Wendy could see the fury in his eyes. She suddenly realized that she won't be leaving the cage she's in anytime soon. "Lift her up boys!" Pan yelled as the lost boys hoisted Wendy's cage high up into the trees.

"I wish I didn't have to do this, darling, but since you won't cooperate, you're going to have to remain in that cage until I need you." Pan called up to Wendy, locked away.

In response, Wendy yelled, "You! You cannot do this to me! My brothers will come looking for me! You'll see!"

Pan chuckled and replied, "Once I get the heart of the truest believer and finally become completely immortal I won't need you and maybe, just maybe, then I'll release you, but until then enjoy your cage!"

Wendy knew that she couldn't let a monster like Pan become immortal. She couldn't bear the thought of Pan's wrath lasting forever, capturing children for eternity and preventing them from ever returning to their parents. She knew she had to stop him, but didn't know how. Maybe this truest believer will be just what I need to stop Pan from ever wrecking havoc on anyone again, Wendy thought. Until the truest believer arrived, however, Wendy could do nothing, but wait and plan her escape.
