Fenris was undoubtedly drunk.
There was no question about it, none at all.
Fenris was absolutely, undoubtedly drunk.
Anders was snickering at the drunk elf who was holding a bottle of wine rather unsteadily. Isabela had plopped herself onto his lap and was flirting with the uncharacteristically drunk elf. Hawke sipped at her ale as she laughed at the amusing sight. Varric was chuckling and writing in his notebook. Merrill was giggling. They had never seen the elf so drunk.
"Wha's so amusing?" Fenris slurred, holding a bottle of wine.
Hawke laughed, "You're completely drunk, Fenris."
"Hey elf, sure you want to continue drinking that?" Varric smirked.
Fenris, in his drunken state shot a look at Varric who smirked even wider and took a gulp of wine, "Stay outta this, dwarf."
Varric shot back good-naturedly, "Whatever, elf. Don't mind me if you find yourself in one of my tales." He smirked.
"Ooh, can I help you with that?" Isabela inquired playfully, still sitting on Fenris's lap.
"You're on, Rivaini. You're on." Varric grinned.
Merrill giggled.
Hawke shook her head, amused, "The two of you are evil." She grinned, sipping her ale once more.
Anders snickered, "Let them have their fun." He grinned mischievously. Maker, he hadn't had this much fun for a while.
"Ya' have somethin' ta' say, mage?" Fenris slurred out once more, taking another swallow of wine.
Anders shot back, "Nothing that concerns you, elf."
"Don't be like that." Isabela admonished Anders playfully with an exaggerated wink.
Hawke cut in, "She's right. We're here to relax, not fight." She grinned.
Suddenly, the sound of something crashing onto the floor could be heard.
All of them focused their attention on the culprit who was...Fenris. Holding a bottle cap, the only remnant of the bottle of wine. The wine had spilt onto the floor, making a rather large crimson pool.
Silence.
"I think we'd better go now."
"Agreed."
