One, Two, Three, Four…
Circles and circles, Sonny just kept twirling. Joel couldn't help but watch in amusement as Sonny threw his head back gazing at the stars and the world spun around him. 2 AM and the guy would not slow down. His feet were constantly stumbling over empty cans of red bull and dirty coffee cups as his arms reached out and he twirled like the galaxies in the sky.
Five, Six, Seven, Eight…
The last minute picnic had been Skrillex's idea, a sugar induced idea sure; but it was still sweet. Almost as sweet as the coffee he tasted on those lips. He had spent hours, days, nights, just dreaming about those lips. The way they could transition from a wicked grin, to a puppy dog pout. Not to mention those eyes didn't help with the matter either. Those honey brown eyes that could make anyone melt in a single glance. Joel was always putty in his hands.
Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve…
Watching Sonny was beginning to make him dizzy, and apparently it was to Skrillex too as his legs crumbled underneath him. Embracing the cold sweet ground, Sonny welcomed it with open arms, only to be surprised with the feeling of tattoo covered arms to circle his waist and a warm chest to cushion his fall.
Twelve, Eleven, Ten, Nine…
Sonny could feel the warm beat of a heart just under his ear and he laid his head on the soft material covering his boyfriend's chest. The plush red blanket they were laying on covered enough of their body's but the grass still tickled Sonny's neck. Letting out a giggle, rolled on top of Joel; looking him dead in the eye Sonny's whisper rang out loud and clear to Joel.
Eight, Seven, Six, Five…
"Joel, I think I might be in love with you." Sonny's eyes were serious as he waited for a response.
"I think I might love you too, mang." Reaching up Joel tangled his long fingers in Sonny's raven hair, petting it gently. The goblins eyes slipped shut and he moaned low in his throat.
"That feels nice…" The breathing evened out and, the night was lost to them
Four, Three, Two, One…
When Sonny's eyes opened again Joel was watching him, a sleepy smile on his face. They were still under the blanket on the hill, under the tree of their first date two years later.
Leaning down they touched noses in a shy Eskimo kiss. Just like the very beginning, and hopefully forever more.
