Pink and fluffy, almost like the cotton candy in his hand; that is how he would describe Sonny. Always bouncing and full of energy, he could barely keep his boyfriend in his seat as he plucked piece after piece of the cotton and placed it on the waiting tongue before him.
"Joel, next can we ride the Ferris wheel? Pleaaaase? I've never gone before."
"Only if you finish up this pink shit I bought you first!"
Giggling, Sonny opened his mouth wide as Joel plucked of a bigger piece then intended and shoved it into the open cavern. Lips pulling back in a grin as he snorted at the sight before him; Sonny's cheeks bulged comically like a chipmunk as he fought to close his mouth over the rest, pink fluff sneaking out between cracked lips.
Taking the opportunity Joel leaned in, eyes smiling, as his eyes closed and he captured Sonny's lips in a gentle kiss. Lips moved and caressed against each other as the cotton melted in their mouths leaving Joel with the taste of the sweet pink, nicotine, and something distinctly Sonny. Parting, Joel couldn't stop himself from looking into the warm honey of his little goblins eyes. They were always so full of love and compassion and every time he looked at them he wondered about how lucky he really was.
Feeling something soft caress his fingertips, Joel looked down to watch as Sonny laced their fingers together, marveling at the way they fit together; two pieces of the puzzle, melding together.
Reaching into his left hand pocket, Joel fingered the velvet box he had been keeping a surprise. 'It's now or never.' He thought as he gets up from the bench and kneels in front of Sonny.
"Sonny, I know we haven't been dating that long, but tonight under the lights of this fair and this night sky. I realize that I don't want to spend another day without you. I love you. Will you… be my player two?" Pulling out the box, Sonny's eyes grew wide, short hands coming up to cover his gaping mouth.
Noticing the oncoming tears Joel reaches out with his other hand to gently wipe them away, petting down Sonny's cheek in a comforting motion as well.
"Sonny, Baby. Please say something? You know I'm not good with the sappy love and everything…"
"Yes, Yes I will be your player two Joel."
Leaning forward Joel presses his lips tenderly to his lovers'. The two pieces to the puzzle, together forever.
