Echoes of Angels Part:2

"Hey Mimi," Tai said as he walked up to her in the park. "Um, hey Tai, what's up?" She asked, kind of nervous. "Oh, nothing," He said with a smile. He slid onto the bench next to her slowly, she scooted away a little. He frowned but hid it quickly before she could notice. She still hadn't looked up from her magazine. "Uh, Tai...?" She said, a more shakily then she would like. Tai's eyes filled with a slight hope. "Yes Mimi?" She turned to face him, her eyes seemed to be clouded with worry. Tai's hopeful look suddenly turned to worry too. "What's the matter, Mimi?" He asked, reaching over and touching her cheek softly. "Uhhhhh... T-T-T-Tai, what are you doing?" She managed to studder. Tai suddenly realized that he was touching her in a very boyfriend/girlfriend kind of way and quickly moved back. She let out a soft unoticible sigh of relief. He, though, noticed it and sighed inwardly. He started to remember everything that had ever happened. Especially that horrible day -- their breakup.

"Tai..?" Mimi said, her voice wavering with sadness as tears started to well in her eyes. Taichi seemed worried now. "Mimi?! What's wrong sweetie?!" He said as he took her into his arms and hugged her close. "Tai, I....I..." she was trying desperately, it just had to be done. "You what, honey...?" She shut her eyes tightly. "I..want to break up, Tai." And then, like a thousand stabbing knives, those cold words hit him, the words that he was so afraid to hear. "But...Mimi..." She shook her head. "I just can't stand all the pain anymore, Taichi. It's over." And with that she broke free of his loving grasp and walked out of his love, forever.

'It's over,' she had told him on that day. Those words still cut him up inside like a knife. He still loved her, or at least he was pretty sure he did. But he also loved Sora. The brownish red haired beauty who had captured his heart. But, when you love two people so much, how can you choose between them? (A/N: it's very hard I know this from experience..) "Tai... Tai?... TAI?!" She was frantically waving her hand infront of his face now. "huh, huh, wha?" He mumbled, finally breaking out of his little daydream. She looked at him strangely. "Tai? Are you okay?" He looked at her. "Yeah, I'm fine, Mimi, why?" He managed to say cooly, putting his hands in his pockets. "Well, for one thing you were drifting off into La-La Land and another, why do you have your hands in my pockets?" Tai's eyes went wide. "Uh uh uh.....well...uh.." he quickly took them out of her pockets and rubbed the back of his head nervously. "heh, sorry Mimi." He studdered.
Mimi just nodded slowly. "Em, okay Taichi, whatever you say." He stopped and just clasped his hands together on his lap. "So, Mimi, what'd you want to tell me?" The look of worry in Mimi's eyes came back and so did Tai's frown. "Well, Tai, what I wanted to say was......"
"Hi Guys!" Someone said as they walked up to the couple on the bench.
heehee boy I love cliffhangers.. making them not reading them!! oh well, anyways, what did mimi want to tell tai? and who just walked up? and, will tai ever learn to keep his hands in his own pockets?! Tai HEY! ME *giggle* oops, did I say that out loud? silly silly... okay part three is coming up soon so do not worry!!! R/R please!!!
