Warrick sat at the graveside of Holly Gribbs with his head looking up at the sky as the raindrops fell upon his skin and mingled with the salty tears that were filled with sadness, regret, guilt and heart break.
He had loved her with all of his heart and soul, yet never had the guts ad courage to tell her. Then again he thought he had time to spare, he had no idea that that night would be the last time that he saw her face and felt the touch of her silky soft skin.
He closed his eyes tightly and imagined the 'what if' that kept spinning around in his head. The 'what if' that asked what would have happened if he had her back like he was supposed to and like he will forever wish he had done.
As he closed his eyes more emotion filled tears fell from his deep brown eyes, and more fresh raindrops fell onto the mass of brown curls upon his head.
He soon found himself imagining his life with her. Something he had found himself doing more and more since the day he met her.
He sighed heavily at the thought of never getting to live that dream with her. Never kissing her, never telling her how much he loved her, never marrying her, never having a child with her and never seeing her again. Not ever.
He had written a letter to her earlier on i the day which he now set down upon the woman's grave side among the brightly colored flowers splayed across the fresh burial site.
'Dear Holly,
I know that I am writing this letter way too late, but it is something that I must do.
I love you Holly, always have done and always will.
You will always mean the world to me.
I'm Sorry
Love always Warrick'
He leant up ad pressed a gentle kiss to the name etched upon the grave stone.
"I love you Holz", he said gently to the lost love that he would mourn for the rest of his life, not knowing he would soon join her in the heavens above.
A chance missed on this earth, but a love that would last forever in the eternity of the life after this.
