I really do not want to deal with anyone right now , but I reluctantly pick it up and I cringe. In Bright red text I see that name.
KYRSTAL is calling
I do not want to answer this call, what could she possibly want now?, but either way I pick up and we said our occasional hellos and talked about the dinner party that the Conerian Council has planned for us in honor of our valiant effort against the Apriods. We continue to talk until she asked me something that I was hoping she would not bring up.
"Fox… what's next for us?"
I was expecting this, ever since the Apriods have been defeated, kyrstal has been pestering me about us and our future. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with her it's just that whenever we try to act like a couple nothing happens. I don't feel anything towards her, that and we have been preoccupied with the Starfox team.
"Fox?..."
Her voice snapped me out of my thoughts, I thought about what she asked me, I don't know if we can continue whatever we have if we really have had anything in the beginning.
"Um… I don't know Kyrstal, you and I never really have had anything going on between us, and we have always been busy with the team…"

She wants to start over... for some reason I'm not really into that idea, I mean even after all these years of being together I still feel nothing.

I turn off my communicator and continue to sit there. I don't know what to do anymore... with everything being so quiet I have to deal with harder part of my life, you think being a mercenary is hard, I don't think so, everything is so quiet so I get bored, and ever since Kyrstal arrived I've been pestered about our "future"...ugh!... I just wish something would happen so I could get away from all this...
