Hey guys!
This fic is based on the play 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker adapted by David Calcutt. We were reading it in our English class and once we finished it, our teacher asked us to rewrite the ending as homework over the Christmas holidays. I was pretty proud of mine, so I thought why not put it on here so that the internet can judge it as well? Please review, it really helps me out :)
Adios amigos!

Mina lay on the cold, hard ground, unmoving. Renfield was crouched down next to her, crying a little and giving little choked sobs. He turned to look at Dracula, who was standing behind him.
"What have you done to her?" He demanded, rising to his feet slowly.
"I have only done what she wished for me to do in the first place," he replied calmly. "She is one of my kind now."
"She would never have wished for that," Renfield muttered under his breath. It seemed like he was trying to convince himself more than Dracula. Then, louder and more confidently, "Nobody would ever wish for that." He growled.
"Oh, really?" Dracula looked at him skeptically. "Thats not what she told me."
"What did she tell you?"
"She told me that she would do anything to save her beloved Jonathan."
Renfield growled and turned back to Mina, who choked and coughed a bit, and then sat up suddenly, her eyes awake and yellow. The yellow of Dracula's eyes. The yellow of a vampire's eyes.
"No..." Renfield stepped back from Mina cautiously. She sat up properly and coughed again. It seemed that her eyes were the only thing that had changed, until she clicked her jaw into place and revealed the one thing that Renfield had been dreading. Fangs.
He stared at her in disbelief. "I'm sorry," she whispered to Renfield to make him feel even slightly better, but it was to no avail. She started moving towards him, but he shook his head and moved even further back from her. He growled, turned to Dracula and pounced like a cat at him, but Dracula was too quick. The vampire grabbed Mina by the wrist and ran off, but she was now almost as strong as he was. She wriggled her arm until she was free, and then sprinted back to Renfield.
It then occurred to Renfield that even though Mina's body was now a vampire, maybe her mind wasn't.
Mina had tears running down her cheeks. "Renfield, he's controlling me," she started. "And he's telling me to -" Her spine folded backwards and her head snapped back. Her blood-curdling scream filled the stiff air and then suddenly she fell to the floor in a crumpled heap.
A few seconds later, she was up again, spluttering. Still on the floor, she kicked her leg back, and as if she could tell that he was there, she sent Dracula toppling off the side of the cliff. Even though he was gone, he still had her mind. Dracula soared up the cliff quickly and Renfield jammed a stake into his heart, which he did not know would kill Mina as well.
Just before Mina's mind and body died, she grasped her hands around Renfield's throat and choked him so hard that as Mina finally fell to the ground, everybody there on the clifftop was dead.
Epilogue
Jonathan did not know where his love had gone.
Two days after the incident, he picked up the newspaper. The front-page headline was 'CLIFFTOP CALAMITY' and there was a picture of a bit of fabric covered in...blood?
He quickly skim-read the article, but it didn't mention any names of the unfortunate victims until the end, where - 'Mina Harker was recognised, as was a local asylum patient, Renfield.'
Jonathan was never seen or heard of again in Whitby.
