Dance With Me?

Summary: A little one-shot with Sera and the Inquisitor at the Winter Palace. The dialogue and scenes changed a bit.

Sera saw Inky coming from her left. She knew what the Inquisitor wanted to ask her. She quickly scurried away and started to blend into the crowd; something she was good at.

"Sera!" The Inquisitor shouted in through the crowd.

Damn! She spotted me before I could get away. Sera turned around the face Inky. The Inquisitor caught up to Sera in the crowd. "Sera, can I talk to you on the balcony?"

Sera looked at the Inquisitor and nodded. She couldn't say no to that request. Plus, these nobles were getting on her last nerves. She wanted to shove their pride up their arse. Sera hated people that thought they were better than her. Who do they think they are? I'm wayyyy better than these pricks!

The two walked onto the balcony. It was past dusk and the sun was already set. "It's beautiful isn't it?" The Inquisitor asked.

Sera looked out onto the horizon. The sky was clear and the stars illuminated the ebony sky. She turned to face the Inquisitor. "Yeah. So why are we out here? You wanted to talk so let's talk." Sera just wanted to get to the point.

The Inquisitor looked Sera. "It was a long night and I just wanted to talk to a friendly face." Inky smiled weakly at her girlfriend. Sera knew that Inky had a long night.

Sera looked at Inky then smiled back. Boy, she looked like shite! Well, anyone could see that. In one night she prevented Orlais from falling and kept Celene alive. She's good, and better in bed. I have to get her in bed after this. Sera smiled to herself. "Yeah you did well. No one else could have pulled off the shite you did. Getting these rich tits all to agree. Now that something. Plus you saved good people and that's what counts."

The Inquisitor forced a laugh. "Yeah…good people." Inky sighed once again. She is down in the dumps again I know what would cheer her up! "Hey how about we do something fun? Like mess with the nobles' drinks or even better, empty their cellar! It'll be fun."

The Inquisitor smiled. It was now or never. Out of the blue, the Inquisitor asked, "Sera, dance with me?" The Inquisitor reached forward and put out her hand waiting for Sera to take it.

Sera looked at Inky's hand. "Eh, I really don't dance. Well, I'll try but it ends up with me stepping on your pinky." Sera thought back to all the times she tries dancing. They didn't end well.

The Inquisitor chucked. "That's fine with me." Sera took the Inquisitor's hand and they danced the night under the stars.
