The Guardians of the Sky
The Sky, up there,
So clear, so inviting,
Seeing through the flaws and ploys,
So accepting, so exciting
Followed by the storm,
So dangerous, yet so loyal,
Encompassing all sight,
Protecting the sky so royal
The storm clashes with the rain,
Which is friendly with the sky,
Always it returns,
Washing away the sorrow when it cries
Then comes the sun,
So cheerful and bright,
Optimistic to a fault,
Willing to protect in a fight
There's also the cloud
Independent and alone,
Flitting back and forth,
It's loyalty to the sky not shown, yet known
The lightening soon appears,
So young and childish,
Hoping for a home in the sky,
A family as its wish
The mist which covers all,
Deceiving and misunderstood,
Disillusioning itself from its belief to be alone,
The sky influences it to be good
They all found a place,
A place to call home,
A haven of a kind,
Which the sky wouldn't mind
For they would be its guardians,
Protecting it from harm,
Supporting and understanding,
A feeling of love and warmth.
