They were sitting on the couch reading. Well, Hermione was reading. Viktor looked like he was having a little trouble focusing on the book with the legs of a beautiful woman resting on his lap. Not that any of the guys around him really suspected it would be any different.

Harry and Ron were just getting used to the war being over. Hermione wasn't talking much, but Viktor had made her feel safe. And he was just as enraptured by her as he had been during their fourth year.

And staying at the Burrow was an interesting experience for all of them. Viktor was just visiting. He was in England for publicity purposes, but he seemed to spend all of his free time with Hermione.

The boys were sure they understood why, but they hadn't mentioned it to Hermione. She didn't talk much. And they weren't pushing it. And they were fairly certain that had she been up to talking about it, she might have very well yelled at them. She was capable of making her own decisions.

The boys left the couple on the couch. They didn't really feel like spying on the silent couple reading. And that was what they had done for the past hour. It was time to do something more interesting.

They left, but the couple on the couch didn't move. Or rather, they didn't move much. There was the soft sound of pages turning. Viktor traced small circles on Hermione's legs absentmindedly. And then Hermione stretched.

Her upper body worked out a kink in her back from being in one position too long. And then she stretched her legs, kicking Viktor in the face.

Hermione dropped her book, forgetting it in her embarrassment. "Oh my goodness," she said. "Viktor. I'm so sorry."

"Is alright," he said.

The truth was that she hadn't kicked him that hard. She hadn't been trying to hurt him, just stretch. He had no doubt that had she been trying to hurt him; it would have wound up hurting.

"I still feel bad." Her cheeks were tinged bright pink, and her hair seemed to become even bigger with her emotions.

He rolled his eyes. "If it makes you feel better, you could kiss it better."

Hermione blushed an even deeper shade of red, but kissed his cheek anyway.
