Task:
Write about a mysterious disappearance; be it a person or an object. Maybe their sudden disappearance is truly confounding, maybe it's suspicious, but no matter what it is, the word "vanished" (in any tense) should be a key word in your assignment.
Word Count: 500 - 750, 750 to 1000
Entry for the "Hogwarts Fair 2014" - Minigolf
Crabbe and Goyle are sneaking around the course offering to apply temporary Dark Mark tattoos for 300 tokens. You can either get the tattoo and write anything about any Death Eater, or decline it and write about a Death Eater who becomes defected.
I hope you like it, leave me your opinion :)
Regulus Black felt like he wanted to die.
Pain was flowing through his body in powerful, torturing waves and all these memories of the life's he had helped to destroy or end... but now he had done everything to undo this guilt. But now, he had to vanish, he knew that the Dark Lord would hunt him down as soon as he had a clue that Kreacher had told him about this horcrux. But finally, Regulus knew he had done the right thing and he thought that Sirius would be proud of him if he would ever know what had happened to his younger brother.
He felt the urge to still the thirst that was burning in his throat and crawled towards the black water of the cave...
Walburga Black was pacing around in the sitting room of Grimmauld Place, waiting for any sign of her son Regulus. He had left the house days ago and slowly she was getting concerned. She had sent Kreacher out to search for him, but the house elf had not found anything. She was asking herself why this was happening to her family – at first, Sirius leaving the house, even though it had not bothered her, she was relieved to be rid of him, and now Regulus, her wonderful Regulus, had vanished as well.
The thought of having lost the only son she had had left made her heart feel heavy and she sank down onto the next armchair, wiping her tears away. Her beloved Regulus... it hurt her that she did not know what happened to him...
Kreacher sat in the kitchens, trying to control his emotions. He was mourning over his master Regulus and at the same time he blamed himself for having left him in that cave, even though he had been ordered to leave the young man. Kreacher was sure that he could have taken his master with him, he could have brought him to a safe place to protect him from the Dark Lords wrath... Kreacher felt guilty for not being able to tell his mistress what had happened to her son, particularly when he saw how broken she was.
Every breath did hurt in his chest as he dragged himself forward over the sharp stones, his hands reaching out for the saving water and then, the world around him started to spin before it vanished, leaving everything in darkness.
Lord Voldemort was furious. No one from his followers dared to enter the room the Lord was in as they feared they could be punished for the disappearance of their companion Regulus Black. It was unclear to them why the Dark Lord was so enraged about the young man's naff off, these were dark times, people vanished every day, even death eaters as duels happened out of the nowhere if a auror found one of them. And Regulus was only one of many followers, he was just as unimportant to the Lord as the others were to him! But regardless how close they thought they were to the Dark Lord, they had no idea what was really going on inside of the man's head, they did not knew about the suspicions that were building in their masters mind.
