[teaser] ribbons

Duo whistled as he braided his drying hair, weaving silken black ribbons into the
long chestnut strands. Heero watched him in silence, taking in the way his hair cascaded
over his shoulders, the contrast of the honeyed locks and the stark black of the ribbons,
somehow softened by their satin finish. Duo could feel the eyes on him as he completed
the task and snapped a band around the end of his braid, swinging it over his shoulder. He
stood and stretched languidly, like a cat roused from sunbathing in a golden pool of light.

"I'm going out," he announced.

"Okay," Heero replied tonelessly. Duo frowned, and opened the door. Knowing
Heero, he would be glad to be left alone with his damned laptop. Oh well. He'd tried.
Heero hadn't even batted an eyelash at Duo's outfit, a pair of skintight black leather pants
that hung dangerously low on his hips and a black tank top with mesh across the back, the
look completed with a pair of black boots and his silk ribbons. Leave it to the "perfect
soldier" to be unaffected by a virtual sex object, he thought with a snort. It was pathetic.
The door closed behind him, and Heero immediately grabbed his jacket. He had to follow
Duo. He was bound to get in trouble, especially dressed like *that*. Sometimes Duo was
too sexy for his own good. And it did nothing to help his concentration knowing that Duo
had been sitting there in pants that were so tight they were practically ripping at the
seams. Heero pulled on his jacket as he walked briskly down the corridor, following the
same path that Duo had taken only moments ago. He watched the lights over the elevator
light up as it descended, tapping his foot impatiently. At last it stopped and he pressed the
button, bringing it back up and boarding. Duo was already halfway down the block by the
time Heero reached the ground level, and he had to walk at a brisk pace to keep up. They
were moving into less affluent parts of town now, the buildings darker and dirtier, with
streetlights shot out and broken beer bottles littering the sidewalk. Duo, Heero thought,
Where *are* you going?
