Freedom and Magic
"Ziva wait for me!" Kate called as she climbed out the window and onto the roof.
"Well hurry up Kate Its almost started." 10 year old Ziva called sitting on the roof. The only part of the roof that was flat and between the two girlss room.
Ziva was wrapped in a horse blanket and had her ninja slippers on. Kate sat next to her sister and wrapped her self around the blanket. "What do you mean its starting? The sun isnt even setting yet"
"Well I was close enough" Ziva grumbled. Leaning back on her elbows. "How is Charlie?"
The 11 year old looked at her sister curious. "Hes fine why do you want to know about my friend?"
"No reason" Ziva shrugged her cheeks going pink.
"You like him" Kate said slapping her youngersisters shoulder.
"DO NOT!" Ziva said defensively. "Come on hes a boy"
Kate looked at her with a raised eye brow. "Ziva not once have I seen you hang out with any girls besides Abby and Me and like it"
"It doesnt mean I like Charlie." Ziva said after a moment of silence from both girls Ziva smiled slyly. "If I like charlie you must like Henry"
"Henry Is my BEST friend. So what" Kate asked shrugging
"Kate, I saw him kiss you last night" Ziva said remembering when the mentioned boy kissed kate when he left to go home last night. When she was in her hiding spot by the front door.
"Soooo he kissed me he was just saying good bye" Kate tried to deflect it.
"Kate and Henry sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G, First comess love than comes a marriage, than comes a baby in a baby carriage" Ziva sang.
"You have been hanging around Abby WAY too much" Kate laughed slightly shoving her sister. "Hey its starting" Kate pointed at the setting sun. The sun was just above the houses in the distance.
"I love this part" Ziva said watching the pink, orange and red dance over the roof tops. "Its so buetiful."
"Ya, calm to." Kate smiled. Leaning back to look up she smiled when Ziva layed her head on her shoulder. It wasnt often Ziva was this open and cuddly. She was the one that hid her emotions and didnt like to lay on others. "Unlike mom when TIm showed her the snake he found last week" She chuckled. Ziva did too remembering how her moms face was as red as a cherry. Their mom was calm though a lot of things. But snakes were a no go.
"That was funny." Ziva chuckled. "Remember what dad did."
"Whats amatter Jen never seen a gardner?" Kate said in her best Gibbs impression. The two sisters fell on thier backs in laughter. They stared at the sky for a while before Ziva spoke.
"Its almost time"She smiled as she pulled the blanket up to cover them as the wind picked up.
"this is what the 2nd year we have been watching them" Kate asked trying to recall.
"Ya I think so." Ziva said.
"This never gets old." Kate said moving to get comfortable. Ziva followed suit.
Soon they watched as the now hazy dark sky filled with animals that look like rats flying. Teh two girls watched the animals fly with ease and the freedom that the two only dreamed of having one day.
"Its Magic" Ziva said dreamily watching.
"Its freedom" Kate added pulling her sister closer.
Okay, I am not sure how I like this one.
