Kagome sat fuming on a stump, angry at Inuyasha for the insulting words he'd used earlier. She sighed and looked up at the darkening sky.

"Why do I even bother? He just won't ever love me the way I wish he would." She whispered to herself. She jumped to her feet when a sudden crashing in the trees shook the earth. She wasn't afraid …well not much anyway.

"A maiden, how lovely of course you're not quite young enough for what I have in mind, no matter I'm sure I have just the thing to remedy the problem. The large youkai said, his voice deep and throaty like a bullfrogs. Reaching into his sleeve he pulled out a leather pouch and chuckled. He sprinkled the powder into his large hand and was about to blow it in Kagome's face when a blur of red rushed in front of her catching the powder directly.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed, fear grasping her heart as he collapsed to the ground. She rushed to him and fell to her knees at his side.

"Run you idiot." He whispered. Her attacker used the distraction to slip away without notice. Kagome watched Inuyasha and noticed some peculiar things beginning.

"Are you shrinking?" she asked, noticing that he was at least half a foot shorter than he had been. He didn't answer her with words, just loud snores.

Kagome grew tired of watching him and was soon asleep, curled up close to Inuyasha.

Kagome awoke to the night blinding her unadjusted eyes, sitting up she noticed that Inuyasha didn't appear to be where she left him.

"My clothes don't fit." said a tiny voice. Kagome squinted in the fading light and saw a tiny Inuyasha nestled in the middle of his now oversized clothes.

"Inuyasha?" she asked, knowing it was him but still needing confirmation.

"I don't think I'll remember who you are after a while Kagome, some of my memories are already fading." He whispered sounding small and dejected. Kagome sighed, and mentally cursed Inuyasha for always coming to her rescue.

"You jerk I had everything taken care of you before you went and jumped in." Kagome ranted. Inuyasha's bottom lip started quivering and tears formed in his eyes.

"I was only trying to help I promise." He sobbed. Guilt welled up thickly in Kagome's throat; quickly she scooped up her shrunken friend and began comforting him.

"It's okay Inuyasha, what you did was really brave and it helped me out a lot." She cooed. Inuyasha wiped his eyes with his balled up fists and smiled up at Kagome.

"Really?" he asked, a tiny fang sticking out of his now closed mouth. Kagome smiled warmly at him and gave a slight nod. Inuyasha wrapped his tiny arms around her neck and hugged her tightly. She quickly hugged him back.

"I love you mommy." He stated. Kagome's eyes widened to saucer size.

Kagome sat up with a jolt, looking around she noticed she was in Kaede's hut. She frantically searched in the dark for Inuyasha who was asleep against the wall as always completely normal. She sighed with relief.

"What a nightmare." Kagome whispered.

"What's your problem?" Inuyasha asked, looking at her with one eye cracked open. Kagome smiled.

"Do you really want to know?" she asked. He looked at her with both eyes before rolling them.

"Uh, yeah or I wouldn't have asked." He stated. Kagome smirked.

"Okay I dreamt that this demon attacked me and was going to throw some kind of powder on me but you jumped in front of me and all the powder landed on you which turned you into a little kid and then you cried then hugged me and then you called me mommy." She said quickly.

"Keh, Stupid that would never happen in a million years." Inuyasha scoffed. Kagome glared at him.

"Inuyasha...Sit boy!" Kagome yelled, before nestling back into her sleeping bag a smile on her face.
